[ Max the Elf V6.03 ] is ready for testing!EDIT: Patch 6.03: Tentacle enemy in level 3 fixed!- 6.02 old Patch: Zoom function fixed during Fae Boss Fight!- Linux version added!Spoiler: You can find the passwords and cheats in the Windows/MAC README file at the bottom).NEW THIS UPDATE:- Level 6 now playable and with a new song!- Controller support! Be sure to check the README for PS4/PS5 controllers!- Two new enemies: Mallary and Tifa in level 6!- Zoom function improved and adjusted!- New voice acting!- Gallery improved and also with better zoom!Level 6 is still far from done, but I think you will still like this update a lot!If you find new bugs or problems:

We have a channel on discord (#playtester comments) where you can post your thoughts and findings, You can also message me directly about big bugs but I mostly prefer to be contacted on the discord server.Known bug(s):- Sometimes Max's Slide attack does not come out right, and sometimes you can punch and walk at the same time. These must be conflicting events happening at the same frame somehow. But they should happen very rarely! - Note on controllers, the system accepts input from all controllers- so be sure to unplug anything with unwanted drift that might send inputs! Even racing wheels and such may mess up Max's movement.- Troubleshooting:Questions about opening a .ZIP file and other technical problems are explained in the WINDOWS README.txt or MAC file below! is the tentacle floor enemy in level 3 bugged? there doesnt seem to be any way to get over/through it anymore, it grabs you as soon as you walk on it, you cant slide through it or jump over it

EDIT: Tentacle should be fixed in level 3! New patch 6.03 added to downloads. (Ohh, you're right this is indeed a problem, we will have a look at it soon!)

Mhh, they seem fine on my end, do you have enough space on your harddrive to download on? Or maybe a protection setting in your browser is preventing the download?

feel like its probably the latter but no idea how to fix it lol Chrome is an exception but its still just timing out oddly

Mhh not too sure either, you can problably google around to see how to get privacy and security settings in the chrome settings, I'm using firefox myself.

It works as far as I can tell. About the linux README. The command in Linux command to make a file executable: chmod +x MtE\ V6.03\ LINUX.x86_64 . In Windows shell, this might do it: attrib +x FILE_NAME

The animation sprites and game are not made for 4K, sorry! But you can technically stretch the resolution as big as you want (it won't improve the quality though)

Me and my girlfriends are really enjoying MTE! I've been wanting to play for ages and it's been really fun, I feel like I got in at a great time. I wanted to ask, is there any chance there will be new playable native resolutions at some point? I run my games in 1440p so running MTE in 1440p would be so dope. I'm sure you're very busy and I'll admit I'm not sure what that would entail technically so I figured I'd ask if/when that might happen! Thanks so much!

I'm drawing the game animations frame-by-frame, It takes a lot of effort even at the small resolution, if I drew them any bigger I think it would be too draining and difficult to animate all the drawings.

Hello, thank you for the kind comment and support! The animations are made on a low resolution to keep the work load manageable, if I make them any bigger they would take even longer and would be harder to draw as well. It might be possible to use shaders or some kind of upscaling tool to improve the resolution in the future, but for now I can't make any promises that we can get that to work. It will take some experimenting.

Thanks so much! That's completely understandable, I figured it may be kind of a pain to upscale it. Some kind of (non-AI) Tool could work but I'm not sure! Thanks again!

Once the game is finished and more complete we will attempt to try an android version again, we probably won't make an iOS version. It will take a while though

also the command to spead nmax up is not wokring i Press delete and S and nothing happens

Is it possible you are on a German PC? I've had reports of it not working but that person was using Backspace + S instead of the Delete key + S. I think on German keyboard delete means "Entf (short for Entfernen)". The level 6 gallery is not out yet but will be in the next update!

I can't get the app to open via terminal. I attempt to follow the directions but I just receive "No such file or directory" when I attempt to add the executable. I can't understand what I'm doing wrong.

hello keep up the good work m.t.e is a really good game i wish the best of luck finishing the game also idea might be adding 2 or 3 variants of positions when max gets caught just my opinon but other wise the game is great keep up the good work UWU

Hello 3ntrnc3r, I think the problem has to do with the folders being named differently in the newer releases, so the guide might not be a 100% correct when describing which folder to open/add in the commands. I will DM you in direct chat for more information if that's okay!
