Monthly Monster: Earthbound Bat (Patreon)

A beast used as a steed and pack animal, known for its fast land speed.

Earthbound Bats are strong and fast, but have a fairly brittle frame, meaning they don't take well to rough environments or long, hardy journeys. They can, however, easily take long distances in quick bursts of speed, and their impeccable hearing is a valuable asset in night travel.

Earthbound Bats have smooth, silky fur, prefer a diet of small birds and large insects, and are extremely adverse to crossing water.
