Non-Canon Omake: The Little Spider, Chapter 31 (Patreon)

Typhon was looming over the horizon.
Perhaps the strongest, most powerful entity within the Greek part of the world. It left an everlasting trauma amongst the gods. Even those who fled at his first arrival all those years ago couldn’t help but feel the same fear as that day.
And at this point, they were much weaker than they were in their prime. Zeus had somehow managed to defeat the terrifying entity before, all but solidifying his iron grip over the rest of the gods.
But now, they knew that even if they all worked together, defeating the terrifying Giant would be nearly impossible.
It was hard to say what was worse, the Titan King returning or having to face Typhon. But if they asked which was more terrifying, then they would answer without hesitation.
They would all much rather fight Kronos than fight Typhon.
With all that understood, for some reason, the gods drew their eyes towards Arachne, who was on the phone.
In normal situations, it would have been easy to ignore the girl to focus on the actual threat coming towards them. The giant made of smoke, fire, and death that was stomping its way across the country.
Yet, for some reason, they were all focused on her.
“Da, I’m being bullied." Arachne called out.
It was genuinely infantile and childish, yet it carried with it a strange foreboding feeling for all the gods present.
“Well, you guys are fucked.” Ddraig plopped onto his butt, making the ground shake.
There was a strange sense of horror as he said those words. As the Dragon that had just beaten Zeus, who had admitted that the girl’s father was stronger than him.
They’ve heard of her father before, in some small parts, from Athena and also from the girl herself. But they haven't actually heard about him in greater detail other than knowing of his origin.
There was silence for several moments despite the tension until a lightning bolt fell from the sky with a thunderous roar.
Poseidon raised an arm up in front of Percy protectively while the others seemingly braced themselves.
All gods stared at the new arrival with looks of bewilderment and confusion. Because standing on the scorched and smoking ground was a rabbit wearing a jacket and a top hat with horns on its head.
“Ungle Wiggles!” Arachne called out, running over to hug the Rabbit. "Missed ya, Uncle Wiggles.”
“A rabbit?” Percy blinked.
“That is no rabbit." Poseidon said slowly.
Because all of them felt it, that was most certainly a god.
“Uncle Wiggles, where’s Da?” She held the rabbit up, face level. “Eh? It’s not just Da coming?”
“Oh wow, you guys are really fucked.” Ddraig laughed.
Athena wanted to ask him what he meant by that, but she suddenly felt a chilling air down her spine, the scent of blood, and the feeling of a sharp edge pointing at her.
In fact, every god here felt the same sensation.
A swirling multi-colored portal appeared, and a woman stepped out. “Daughter, tell me which one. Which one should I kill?”
Athena’s eyes widened.
She knew her daughter referred to another woman as her 'mom.' That didn’t cause her any kind of jealousy; it was normal for her children to have adoptive mortal mothers. But then she heard her daughter was adopted by a woman famed in another pantheon, and it left her feeling somewhat sour.
And now, for the first time, she was confronted with the woman in question.
That is no mere mortal.
It was the same instinct that screamed in the back of their minds.
“Mum!” Arachne beamed.
Scathach’s expression softened slightly at seeing her daughter unharmed, but it immediately hardened again as she swept her gaze around at the gods present. “Should I simply kill them all?”
Before, it was ignorable when Zeus was targeted.
The fear represented by Ddraig was enough that they were more than willing to let Zeus get beat around and even sent down to Tartarus to reform. But now, it was like an invisible blade pressed against all their necks.
This woman was threatening each and every one of them so blatantly without a single care.
Typhon on the horizon, the dragon calmly sitting at the side, but this…mortal woman was now threatening them in the same breath.
Gods were prideful creatures.
There was only so much disrespect they could take. They were ready to fight Typhon, a fight they deemed impossible, so at this point, what was left to hold back about?
Ares, reeling from his current mortality, was struggling to stand, and Dionysus was instead stepping back to avoid the confrontation, but for the others…it was a provocation that they were rising to.
“I would advise a peaceful resolution.”
Artemis stiffened because she felt a blade pressed against her next, a large two-handed sword that had no business sneaking up on her. But out of the corner of her eye, she could see the same type of portal that delivered the other woman, having been opened up right behind her as a man now offered her advice.
“Uncle Thorum!” Arachne beamed as the Dragonborn, slayer of Anduin, was warning the Goddess of the Hunt against doing anything unwise.
"Artemis—" Apollo was about to move by when a charming voice whispered in his ears.
“Oh dear, I wouldn’t do that if I were you.” Nine golden tails swished behind her as a feminine hand collapsed onto his wrist even as his body burned with sunfire.
Despite the intense heat radiating off the God of the Sun, Yasaka stood there, a casual smile on her face as she didn’t bat an eye.
Just as quickly as the first appeared, several more people quickly appeared all around.
Poseidon froze as he was being looked at by a woman with large horns and ocean-like hair. He could feel the power of the sea radiating off of her, perhaps even more than himself. In fact, he had only felt this kind of feeling when he interacted with the Primordial Sea God himself.
Demeter wasn’t moving as a woman wearing purple, with a long sword and lightning dancing down its edge; it was giving her a warm and kind smile that promised unspeakable things if she dared to do anything.
Tiamat, the primordial goddess, was waving at Poseidon while Raikou was politely, if silently, warning the goddess of the harvest.
Not everyone was present, at least not all of Arachne’s immediate family, as it was short notice. But that didn’t mean that she didn’t have extended family that was more than happy to come along for a chat.
Sasaki Kojiro stepped out of a portal looking ready for a fight if it happened.
Hela, Goddess of Death, came stomping out, necrotic blades in both hands, glaring at any gods that looked her way with a promise of death.
Artoria stood near Arachne like a stalwart defender, a familiar spear in her hands that made all the gods freeze at so much as a glance of it.
“How troublesome…” A tired sigh came out of another portal as a young-looking boy stepped out.
Almost out of place compared to the rest, but for the gods, they felt a strange sense of suppression. Like a prey that was looking at a predator, they subconsciously couldn’t help but view him as a threat.
However, the newcomer wasn't put off by the stares. As a Campione—a Godslayer who had killed and fought many gods at this point—he had become more than used to it.
Godou stood there, awkwardly scratching his head. “I’d rather not fight if I can help it.”
“Oh, stop being such a whimp.” Mordred came in behind him, slapping his shoulder while she had a big grin on her face.
“I think it’s nice that he doesn’t jump into fighting.” There was a flap of wings, bright white wings that radiated a holy presence. “What do you think, Jeanne?” Gabriel, the Archangel, smiled.
“Well, we should try to settle things peacefully. But sometimes a fight is unavoidable.” Jeanne stood at her side.
They would have to be fools to not recognize an angel. All the gods present were more than capable of seeing into her essence.
“It’d be nice if they listened to words. But in my experience, they’re usually all assholes who need a good beating.” A familiar head or orange hair stepped out nearby.
He looked like a young man; he possessed no divinity, yet just as well, there was a smothering, suffocating feeling around him, like he was doing his best not to just collapse the world around him at the slightest touch.
Ichigo crossed his arms with a familiar scowl on his face. “You okay, brat?”
“Uncle Ichigo!” Arachne smiled warmly, earning a small smile from the perpetually scowling man.
Another familiar face peeked over his shoulder. “Arachne!”
“Auntie Orihime!”
Both husband and wife appeared when they were called.
Or rather, wives.
“Move down in the front, idiot!” A petite foot kicked him in the back of the leg as Rukia pushed to his side.
The area filled up quickly.
Enemies on the horizon, now enemies quite literally at their backs. The gods that were ready to rise to the provocations were now suddenly feeling much more hesitant as more people arrived without warning.
“You don’t look so good.”
“Stop poking me!”
Odin, the Odin from back home, was using his stick to poke the currently mortal Ares, much to the latter’s chagrin.
“Hoho, why don’t you make me!?”
He was having fun riling up the younger War God, even if the latter was currently mortal.
Every arrival, every new face, wasn’t missed by the Greeks present.
Each new arrival had them reeling from either recognition or something unknown that teetered on the dangerous to the terrifying.
Especially Athena.
She realized, with each new arrival, that she truly knew next to nothing about the man with whom she had a child. A child born from thoughts, but a child nonetheless. Someone who could call so many different people here on a moment’s notice meant that even without knowing details about him, he was most certainly no simple man.
“Oof.”
Hades did a double take at the woman who stepped out of a portal next to him. “Izanami?”
“Hello Hades.” Izzy held her very pregnant stomach as the God of the Underworld was genuinely shocked to see her pregnant.
He couldn’t say that he had a…close relationship with the other Death God that existed in another Pantheon. But as a fellow death god, there was a sort of camaraderie that most other gods didn’t have.
The God of the underworld was ready to throw around his weight as well, but he also stopped the moment he saw her.
"...You're here as well?”
Izzy gave him a flat look. “Hades, I’m pregnant, I’m hormonal, and I’m angry; don’t do something stupid.”
Normally, he may have been offended by her tone, his pride mocked. But frankly, those words were repeated almost verbatim from his own wife when she got pregnant, and he lost all momentum he had silently been building up to this moment.
"Izanami," Hades intoned. “Regardless of any…disputes that may be happening right now—"
“It was her mom; she was trying to kill me!” Arachne pointed at Hera.
Without warning Scathach punched Hera in the face, sending her hurling across the ground, bouncing across the hard surface as she slid to a stop.
“You wretched –”
A world-shaking rumble shook the ground as a sky-blotting lightning bolt soared above them and collided with the oncoming giant of destruction that was still marching its way forward.
What followed was a cataclysmic eruption of lightning that connected both the Earth and the sky together with the giant at the focal point.
It caused all ‘fighting’ to cease immediately and all potential fights to stop right in their tracks as they all looked at the source.
Just as the lightning dissipated, there was a flurry of lights and explosions that blanketed the horizon before a mountain, upside down, seemingly pushed through the clouds above, pressing down on the Giant.
Izzy looked at Hades. “You were going to speak of that? We were ignoring it because there was no need to worry about it. My husband was already taking care of it.”
The upside-down mountain had completely pressed it down, and it had disappeared from view.
Arachne smiled, but she wasn’t the first to be nice.
With a displacement of wind and a faint crackling of lightning, the last person arrived.
“Da!” Arachne threw her arms up, hugging her father.
“My little spider. Tell me, who’s bullying you? Let your father see who’s brave enough to do that?” His words were warm, and his smile carried with it familial affection, but to everyone present, they could feel the bloodlust in the tone.
“Husband, I have it taken care of.” Scathach blew a strand of hair out of her face. “Did you handle that annoyance in the distance?"
“Typhon? Yeah, don’t worry. I went to have words with him. After a conversation, he was very amicable to not rampaging in the human world.” Wilhelm said casually, as if he didn’t just drop another mountain on the infamous creature.
“Da, look, this is my best friend; his name is Mr. Blueberry!” Arachne lifted up the big fish cow as it mooed happily. “And I made other friends. That’s Percy over there! And I fought Atlas and beat him!” She rambled on as she was excited to see her parents, completely ignoring the situation around them.
“We’ll talk in a minute.” Wilhelm put a hand on her head before holding his hand out and having a chair appear on the ground.
With slow steps, he walked around to the front and sat down, crossing his legs.
“First, let’s give them a chance to defend themselves.” Wilhelm swept his gaze around. “I will be generous and give each of you a chance to explain to me why you shouldn’t die.”

Wilhelm arrives; he’s not happy, and it’s now everyone’s problem. Figured it would be fun for a bit of the extended family and friends to come over at his call too. I don’t know if Arachne will go on much longer, maybe some bits where Percy comes to visit Arachne in Kyoto, but yeah. It was never an Omake series that was going to go on forever.
