Been too long since I've shot one of these, sorry about that. And thank you all again for helping me make this show!

Greg I have a cool idea for a monthly episode, you ask your Patreon to give you one alcohol and brand and you have to make 5 cocktails using that brand. Would be fun to give you some absolute curve balls horrible tasting alcohol like Black Kracken spiced rum, Fireball, Southern Comfort, and so on would also be awesome for fans who bought certain bottles to try and didn’t like them to have someway to get rid of it. Take suggestions and put them in a poll and have us vote.

Hey man, Jersey area would love to be able to buy the mead in some kind of popup or something. Huge mead lover.

Bummed about the sbagliato ep bombing. It’s a good concept and the Fire and Blood was really delicious!

Hey, things are changing on Youtube hard. Don't dismiss shorter form content, even shorts. I'd love to talk to you about expranding the brand coming from another direction.

Happy to be a very special 1% of 1%.

Hey Greg - I'm watching the blueberry daiquiri right now. I did a lot of experimentation with blueberry juice this summer (mostly with gin). The berry character really comes out in response to acid, so I found the best option was to make the drinks a little bit sweet on purpose and then adding citric.

You talk about interview format - I know it's not the most original idea (obviously, since I'm going to refer you to it), BUT - maybe something similar to Paul F. Tompkins's "Speakeasy" series? Cocktails and conversation. Plus you sorta look like him (bonus?).

Weirdly enough, I think the pandemic hurt the bigger channels more than helped. People were forced inside and wandered the internet, and found a bunch of channels they like. Then attention spans drifted to new interests. I know that happened to me at least- I found a bunch of new channels and it resulted in me neglecting some of my old favorites. As for episode ideas (and forgive me if it’s been done before)- you could do episodes on the lesser bought bottles. Like I bought a bottle of Campari for Negronis, and I’ve had it for the last two years because I have no idea what else I can do with Campari. Same with Aperol, crème de violet, and a handful of others that I only own for a single drink. It’s be cool to learn about cocktails I could use them for other than their most well-known cocktails. What else is crème de violet good for besides Aviations? No idea. Drinking the news would be interesting. I imagine it would be similar to the Billionaire Space Race episode, and I think I’ve watch that one half a dozen times (also just for a Saturn recipe).

Shorts might be an excellent way to get those quick and dirty cocktail recipes out there while pleasing the algorithm. Maybe you can reuse/recut old episodes into a minute-ish format that's lightly informative in addition to just getting the recipe out there. Also, I know I get burnt out when you do a ton of the same type of video over a short time frame. Then again I watch every video of yours sooner or later, so that's likely a regular viewer problem, not necessarily a problem for the folks you need to pull out of the never ceasing content vortex for 20 minutes of attention span. I think it would be fun for you to do an eggnog variant every year, and maybe to even start other annual traditions for the channel. I feel like that kind of thing builds a feeling of coziness, familiarity, and community. Plus, it's one piece of content you can think less about. All that said, I LOVE the show, and I hope you keep up the good work. You're probably the best money I've spent, and hope to continue to spend, on Patreon.

As a Native American, generally when I hear about a "Thanksgiving episode" of something, I cringe. When you said it, and you mentioned you'd be ruffling feathers, I got Excited! Also, I'm super stoked for the Mead episode specifically because I'm doing some world building for my homebrew TTRPG setting, and I've been working on transferring some of the honey from my varied magic bees (I'm an entomologist, I put way more work than is necessary into my insects) into varied interesting meads.

Thanks for the update. As someone who's worked a very long time in the privacy space - it's definitely best to let your kids retain their anonymity. Good luck house hunting.

Hmmm, I don't seem to be connected to the discord in the magical way it is supposed to connect them. Could I get an invitation please? Whenever you get a moment of course.

Hi Greg I have a (great/good/terrible/boring/whoknows) idea for an episode. Many of us like good cocktails but have to go places where that might not be easy to get, such as when I league bowl every week. What can you get from a person who is not actually a bartender at a bar that is not well stocked. For what its worth I have watched the Yellowstone episode 5 times and it has some of my favorite cocktails.

Sephiroth

Or know your bartender, put a call out for bartenders pro and amateur to send in videos to an email or dropbox, of them making a cocktail they accept they fully release all rights to you, and if you select them for the show they get a tshirt or some swag. Then you go through the videos select maybe 5 based on whatever like the video and audio is good, the drink is good or terrible or so on. Then you make a show where you do a shout out to a person introduce their drink, show them making it then you make it true to their recipe, give some notes if you would change anything, do five or four drinks then pick a winner based on any criteria and maybe send out a HTD something extra to the winner maybe something that goes on their bar.

Last and final suggestion that might never be read lol. Host a get a drink from Greg episode, people pay $1000 and get to come to an episode (either in the studio or maybe a borrowed empty bar, do it like a tasting episode, the people who pay for the ticket are shot from behind and silhouted, think mystery science theater.) Keep them unmicrophoned and ask them to treat it like a show meaning stay quiet and dont chat so they do not ruin the production. Each drink you make, you make 6 one for the show and one for each guest. Make it a 5 drink episode? Probably could consider going 6 people so 3 couples could come.
