The periscope frame is from the port side though, maybe ~100-110° AOB?

I assumed it was 90 AOB. The Plan view is reversed.

Was it ever confirmed how many torpedoes were launched? There’s reports of two being used. If there were two shots I’d be interested in your take on the reasoning and/or what happened to the one that apparently did not hit.

Not officially confirmed. There is not reason, I am aware of, to justify two torpedoes.
