The Victor II was originally thought to be a new class of submarine.  NATO initially designated it 'Uniform'.  Turns out, it's just a modified Victor I with some advanced features.

Thank you for the vid and got to ask, how did the Victor's compare when put against USN SSN's of the era if you can answer that. And I do recall reading somewhere that the Victor II was the first Soviet sub to fit the SS-N-15 and it fired it out of its bigger tubes.

The submarine I was on, recorded an Akula while recording the Victor II as an aside. That's how much we spanked the Victor. It was an afterthought.

Old radio codes are usefull as there is tons of non time critical intelligence being transmitted via radio.

24:00-27:11; Jive reaches levels of excitement that only Mrs. Turkey is familiar with. Even got me excited. LOL! Well done.

Great work jive. I’m enjoying the personal touches that you’ve added with that information about the war games torpedo incident. It never ceases to amaze me how much trust our western armed forces place in our people and our access to information, and then you get @$$holes like walker take advantage of it.

Thank you for a great video!

Awesome Brief! The personnel story makes it stellar! Loved listening to you describe your experiences. Looking forward to Victor III.

Great story about hiding in the middle of an exercise. Would be great to have a few videos that focus on stories like that!

Sorry to be the language police, but it's pronounced admiral-Tee. Not Admir-al-ity.
