I am excited to carry on the Russian SSBN story.  The Delta SSBN is the next generation of the very popular Yankee SSBN. Over the next 8 to 10 weeks, we will be diving into the very capable Delta Project 667B and all its variants. Like the Yankee, the Delta continues to show versatility, capability, and much-improved reliability.

The Delta series will include almost 100 individual submarines, their deployments, causalities, and success in great detail.  I have access to the ship's logs and crewmember testimony. There are so many interesting stories, experiences, and facts coming, I hope you enjoy these briefs as much as I enjoy creating them.

I was really waiting for delta series.

Oh

This is going to be awesome - looking forward to it. I think the multi-episode/series approach really works too, you manage to get into some incredible detail.

Did the USSR consider the Delta and Yankee to be variants of the same class?

Yankee SSBN is Project 667A, Delta I is Project 667B. Not same class, but a continuation of the Project.

Hey I love your sub briefs and I noticed you gave credit to Vepr157, he's such a knowledgeable guy. If you can find him, there is another guy I know called Artjohm from way back, I recently bumped into him again on reddit. That man is walking Soviet military encyclopedia I highly recommend you chat with him if you ever get the opportunity
