Say hi to your updated script tool! (Patreon)

Hey everyone, we've just released a major update for the script tool! It might look pretty much the same as before, but a lot has changed under the hood. If you notice any issues, bugs or other problems, please don't hesitate to reach out to us via support@botc.app or ⁠in the bug-reports channel on the official Discord.

Here's what has changed:

New Media Generation Engine – PDFs and PNGs are now much higher quality and produce identical results everywhere: no more weird browser-, OS-, or device-specific behaviour. It even works on Safari and iOS! WOW!

Improved Player Sheets – Most significantly, columns are now automatically balanced by default – just like the official scripts.

Improved Storyteller and Night Sheets – They look a lot better. Really. They also include the name of the script on them, finally.

Print Preview & More Extensive Print Options – A live preview window is now available so that you can see exactly how your PDF will look before you export it. There are more options available for customising print output, with many, many more on the way in the future.

Improved Fuzzy Search – Character searching is now much more typo-resistant and searches by both name and ability text at once. This came at the cost of some flexibility, but we are hoping to re-add some useful filters in the future.

A Couple More UI Options – You can now change the zoom of the script and the UI independently from the settings menu. (This might not work perfectly everywhere.)

Restorable Scripts – There are no more annoying confirm dialogues when you delete a script. If you delete a script by accident, just click the RESTORE button.

Future Improvements – The script tool will be receiving more regular updates and improvements in the coming months. Please feel free to report bugs or request features.
