shiyka

Zaza

Aye thanks guys

RunAwayCloak

Nope azula got away from jail and has never been seen since

normalmighty

We got the finale already?! He'll yeah!

Stefan

never forget the 6th of jan ... wait that doesnt ryme ... kekw brigit hahaha

Stefan

i love how avatar had two bad ass tall woman P'li and kyoshi, love that for all the tall woman out there, and another way this show shines in being inclusive in a subtle beautiful way

William Roberts

Oh shit we already letting go our earthly tether? Hell yeah.

K

And now I can tell you why the airbenders don’t fly. Remember when Wan met the airbenders? They flew then, and their tattoos were different. They had yet to bond with the sky bison. Over time, airbenders bonded with the sky bison, changed their tattoos, and lost the ability to fly. The sky bison is an airbender’s earthly tether. They traded flight for a friend.

Stefan

"you can call me kuvira"

Raymond Wynn

The reason why there hasn’t been another Airbender that’s been able to fly it because they started the tradition of bonding with the Skye bison. Because of this, they’re always attached to earthly connections, so truthfully, they’ll never be an Airbender that will be able to fly

K

Jinora’s ceremony always gives me chills.

Jules

Someone please correct me if I'm wrong but I'm pretty sure the events of season 1-3 happen within like 6-8 months. It's been really hard for my girl Korra.

Saphthings

When this aired, everyone was theorizing that Bolin can lavabend because his parents were earth + fire. It's an interesting idea.

William Roberts

My favorite thing that people point out to reactors when these eps air is the fight between Zaheer and Tenzin. all the time it was 1v1 Zaheer couldnt land a single blow. Its the difference between a prodigy and a true master.

Zavheaux

Thank you for bringing up how weird the korra hate is online

GodKingSos

this is incorrect. those air benders in wans era couldn't fly either. they hovered on air clouds like son goku. I've seen this take around in the avatar fandom and i just wonted to tell u that its not the correct lore. only zaheer and guru laghema can fly.

K

I thought the clouds were just an art effect.

GodUsopp

I cannot believe im just noticing zaheer say "we lucky few, we band of brothers" I literally just watched band of brothers last month

bodhi

i keep saying imagine in the new series there's another technological revolution and they have iphones lol

GodUsopp

not really lol, it hasnt been confirmed in words sure but the airbenders did used to be able to fly, the only reaosn they wouldnt was because of a earthly tether keeping them grounded

Raygene English

LOK I’ve only watched in real time once… I’ve seen season1 a couple of times before I started your reactions. I don’t like how LOK ended but maybe while I watch it with you guys I will change my mind…

Raygene English

Based off where LOK was probably 90’s/2000’s vibe early

Miiitorta

the fight sequence between Korra and Zaheer is unreal, this is definitely my favorite season

Kangdarius

2nd half of this season is so. damn. TUFF. Evil team avatar wasn’t messing around. Loved that they made sure they showed tenzin could beat zaheer one on one tho. There’s levels to this airbending shit

Miiitorta

That ending gets me every time

Kangdarius

Suyin is bout that LIFE! Lol that combustion woman death is still so damn crazy. Every time I see it I’m in awe. The writers wrote this season trusting that their audience was mature enough.

David Elligott

I will always love Bolin subverting the “somehow I’ve always known” cliche after he finds out he’s a lavabender. “Bolin! You’re a lavabender!” “I know! I just found out…”

David Elligott

I don’t know if it’s ever confirmed by the writers but I would say it’s more than a theory, it’s almost definitely due to the mix of fire and earth bender parents. Which would explain why it’s manifesting in benders at this point when cultures are mingling more than ever

Millennium4ever

You guys seem to be the most knowledgeable reactors I’ve seen when it comes to Korra’s behind the scene stuff so I thought I share some stuff I remember when watching the show air on TV. Figured it be fun for you guys to know before going into Book 4, which I hope you guys read this. Anyway, like you guys already know, Book 1 was meant to be a one and done. Then around the episode of Tarrlok’s reveal it was announced that Korra will be getting a Book 2 and that was also meant to wrap up her story. Then around the Wan episodes, or maybe a little after, it was announced that Korra will be getting a Book 3 and 4. So that meant those two Books would connect better rather than feeling separated from the others. Book 3 had a hell of a release nightmare due to leaks. If I remember correctly, Book 3 was meant to release in Sept but was pushed ahead to June. Side note: Books 1 and 2 had the first two episodes air together, but Book 3 had three episodes air cause of those leaks. Anyway, Book 3 had an interesting run cause it only aired eight episodes then episodes nine to thirteen were moved to being shown only online on the Nickelodeon website. So by the time it was time for Book 4 to “air” it was only available on the Nickelodeon website. Had to get on every Friday to watch the new episode. Was an interesting time being a Korra fan during its original run. There’s some more stuff to share, whether it being about the show itself or regarding the show, but those can be looked up on your own time. Looking forward to Book 4!

Drew

She’s in the dance troupe when we first meet suyin and one other scene before she saves tonrok I believe. It took me a few times to spot her before she “introduces” herself lol

Bernardo Veiga

There is a theory in the fandom that the lady who saved korra in season two when she was attacked by a spirit and lost her memory could have been Azula. It’s probably just a headcanon but it would have been crazy if it were real.

Yajmal 13

Actually Azula's story is still being covered in the comics right now.

Tess D

Just putting in my 2 cents about the Berlin Wall comment and the 2020 insurrection - There are a lot of themes in Korra (and ALTA) that relate to our current political climate. In my opinion, it’s important to compare how the show can relate to real life situations, especially since Korra contains a lot of grey areas and political themes. I feel like the lessons we draw from the media we consume can help us make better choices when it comes to the real world. I like hearing your thoughts and comparisons and I hope you continue! Thank you for the reaction :)

Yajmal 13

It's confirmed in the novels lavabending is specifically earthbending and nothing to do with fire. It's like how waterbenders can turn water to ice or steam.

Zayden

"Its gonna be Mako and Korra together in the end isnt it?" hmmm 🤔😏

NeptunesOdds

Honestly, i would want to see Bolin and the lavabender be friends, the two of them talk to eachother in almost a friendly rivalry way, itd be cool to see him teach bolin more about lavabending

Michael Yee Official

Pretty sure Ming Hua is voiced by the same actress that voiced Azula!🙃

Alec, Seeker of Shine Sprites

Book 2 happens 6 months after book 1 and book 3 happens 3 weeks after book 2 so yeah. All these events were basically one year.

Pooofy

This was one of the best season endings of any tv show in history

Tys van Zeijl

i think overall they did a great job on Korra's story. I enjoyed it immensely when it aired. Just think about how hard it is to write something that fills atla's shoes, but isn't a copy. They wrote Aang's legacy to be not just that, but more so the tale of Korra, and all those she touches like Tenzin. And here at the end of S3 Jinora who looks just like her grandfather as we knew him. Great touches overall imo. Not even talking about the villains yet.
