As hard as it is to watch Korra vs Kuvira I commend the writers taking that route. They are showing that recovery isn't linear. Korra may have got the poison out, but is still suffering from severe PTSD. If Korra were 100% this fight would have been over quickly.

I've always assumed bender bodies were naturally stronger and more resilient, that's why they can take rocks to the body or fire blasts around them without taking damage like a normal human would. Take lava bending, for instance. In real life, it's dangerous to even get close to lava when it is fully hot. But in the show the soldier were buried under it in their suits; in real life, you're not getting out of that.

I always saw Bolin not using Lava more because it is a very deadly ability. He's still a good boy who doesn't want to kill people, even if they deserve it.

I think what people missed is that Korra has learned from her old ways, she used to always look for a chance to get into a fight. But now she's learned to try to understand and become more of what aang was a peacemaker, that's why she was merciful to Kuvira.

I mean i wouldn't say that. Even in their second fight, it's still a pretty even fight and korra is so back at that point.

Spioilers. If that fight were to continue to play out fully Korra would have won. Especially if the Avatar State was used. Kuvira had no chance. It's ok though in the end Kuvira surrendered she recognized herself that Korra's power was beyond anything she could ever hope to achieve. I mean Korra bends pure spirit energy equivalent to that of a nuclear bomb and creating a spirit portal in the process. That's some power.
