Ash

Crazy person checking in. I love this trilogy so freaking much. Read the books, saw them in theaters and still get the feels after a billion rewatches.

Jo Painter

OHHH YEA! So excited for this - my all time favourite trilogy <3 I joined for Korra but loving this content!

deadringerrr

kudos to you for doing this, these movies are such a beast so thank you for doing this for us crazies lmao <3 Hope it's worth it and you both enjoy the trilogy!

Sunniva H

OMG!!! Finally you guys are watching Lotr🥳🥳🥳 I can't wait to watch, when I get home from work today🤩🤩🤩 So happy! And I know your going to love them🥰

Sunniva H

And yes i'm crazy for these movies, watched them so many times I know all of the movies manuscripts by heart😅 "The world is changed". Watched the first move for the first time when I was about 9 years old, and have probably watched them a 100 times(not exagerating)😄 sorry for mye bad english😅

Yuma Nanami

Yep, here watching all 3+ hours this time and for each other's as well 💜

Bookwormy

I've had a hell of a week and this is just what I needed. Thanks guys!

Lindsay Mathieson

omg, I am torn. 3.5 hours is a *lot* of reaction, and I have things I should be doing... OTOH, LOTR and BRIDGECO!

Lindsay Mathieson

Welp, in the opening, Bridget - "TAKE THE RING!" I for one, welcome our Evil Overlord Bridget.

Kangdarius

Love the trilogy. Weirdly not one I ever watch reactions to though. Enjoy yourselves. You’re in for a classic. IMHO u do NOT need to watch the extended versions. It’s a classic either way.

Lindsay Mathieson

nb. Belching guy eating carrot in the rain at Bree - that was Peter Jackson, the director, doing a cameo.

Brooklyn

🙋🏻‍♀️ Crazy person here!! I can’t wait to watch the other two extended versions as well!!

Bookwormy

Coming back to comment, I'm sure you'll eventually get loreheads in here but Orc in the og og lore were made from mud, so yep, they were basically growing them and digging them out.

Landon DuVall

Omg so stoked. I know it's a lot but these movies are fucking bangers.

Abby

Ok the weird transparency of the video makes it a little like I’m on Shrooms. Seeing the shirt logo through Gandalfs face was so bizarre. Is it possible to change this in the future?

IzzyB33

I will ALWAYS watch the reactions to these films. Fav trilogy ever.

Jaime Diaz

Heck yeah!!! i’m here for the reaction to my favorite Trilogy!!

MetalBabe Sami

Uncut?!! Y’all just made my shitty day completely better!

Marcos Paulo

Tell me Bridgette never saw Harry Potter. We need to solve this. 😅

BRIDGECO

No no I made her watch them back in like 2015 😂😂 cause I had also never seen the last 2 movies at that point. It’s been 10 years tho and our daughter says she wants to watch them so they may be coming sometime 😂

CiaraArmstrong

Haven’t watched in years, still weird seeing the NZ scenery in the background. Fun fact: our last Prime Minister, Jacinda Ardern, when she was young, auditioned to be an extra in this, but didn’t get the part. It’s hilarious to us given she went on to be a historic Prime Minister. 😂 Peter Jackson said… ‘Yeah, Nah…’ 😂

Lab

Can we fix the transparency plz

jacksantore

I think Saruman is meant to represent what Gandalf could become if he had taken the ring. In the many years before this series Saruman is very much on the good guy's team. He just ran into a more powerful will than his own...

Saphthings

Posted this on the youtube one, but it's useful no spoiler stuff for you to go into this series better equipped: Without over explaining, NO SPOILERS, or getting too deep into it, just like so much media it has parallels to western religion. Think of it this way. There's a God in this world, but then there are minor gods, and each of those gods has an "angel", and each of those demigods also made a race. That's what Saruman, Gandalf, Sauron and even that big demon looking thing are. Wizards are essentially angels of this mythos that their demigods sent down. So of course Sauron is the angel of the evil demigod (just like lucifer, with a lot of the same deceiver traits and charisma). Whereas Gandalf COULD have done more, but since he's the angel of a good demigod he only influences, instead of physically doing stuff. So Gandalf is surprised that Saruman just basically betrayed his god and is now a "fallen angel" too. This is all pretty much common knowledge of that world. One "common" mistake going into Lord of the Rings is associating that fantasy lore to modern tropes, and we think he's a Wizard as like a witch and Harry Potter, so just a magical dude lol. Or that Sauron is like a man that got power, and a bunch of other modern tropes. We have to remember that Lord of The Rings is so old and original to its time that to those readers they didn't have what we have so they were new concepts to them! And to add as a fun fact, Tolkien was a linguist, so he created the Elven language, and then he essentially built the world needed to create that language, and that's what Lord of the Rings is. The perfect scenario in which the elvish language would be formed. Which is doubly fun because in the mythos there existence is almost literally a song being sung by God, whereas some races are notes, some are pauses, some are tempo and etc, so he builds everything around communication and language : )

You don't have to worry too much about a toxic fandom in lotr, now with these, so make mistakes, theorize, etc. It's when you get into The Hobbit and Rings of Power that you'll get a bit of that "Korra" and "Star Wars prequels" vibe where ppl harped on them back then, but they're not the evil spawn of satan haters make them out to be lol.

Izanne

I’m sooo happy you’re watching LOTR!! It’s absolutely my favorite movie trilogy.

hannahbee99

I’m so excited you guys are reacting to my favourite movie franchise ever. My dad read the Hobbit to me as a child, and the first book I can remember reading was Lord of the Rings. Every year my dad and I clear a weekend to binge watch all the extended versions of LoTR and the Hobbit. So excited for this journey and to see your reaction! Also wishing Bridgette a safe and healthy pregnancy! 😊❤️

Wormtongue

Any chance of version where the movie is muted ? Kinda hard to sync your own version with 2 x audio.

Saphthings

It took me a long time to realize that those wraiths that keep following them are the 9 human kings with the 9 human rings of power. Still kept alive and stuck forever his slave, still trying gain power.... O_O It's funny that all these years later the dwarves, humans and elves that got their rings, for the most part, still wear or use their rings in a way. So while trying to defeat Sauron, they never really stopped using his power either! I guess his draw, influence, and really tbh craftmanship is so superior that despite all they know they STILL won't go, "You know what, let's put all this stuff from Sauron into this pit and burn it all and never speak of him again". In one way or another they are still under his power.

Saphthings

For the sake of this series it's important for you to realize that just like humans are a race, dwarves, elves, hobbits. The eagles are also a race made. They're not like "animals" or just beasts. So they're just as susceptible to the rings, fear, intelligence and so on.

Izanne

Thanks for this reaction, it kept me company while I cleaned my house. Can’t wait for the rest!

Marcos Paulo

I thought it might be to nerd for you, good to know you've watched it. Don't show your daughter too early though, it's kinda dark for a kids movie.

ingrid overacker

The landscape when they come out is all gray rock, like the sun itself is sad that Gandalf is gone.

Marcos Paulo

Just finished it, this movie is too long for one siting. Sean Bean's never had a chance his reputation started around that time and he has been consistent since. 😂

John Winters

Finished! Yessss - loved y’all’s reactions!

Mauro

Can’t wait for the other two

John

I cannot wait for the next movie! This reaction is a perfect companion video when playing Baldur's Gate 3 in my humble opinion.

Stefan

and he made a living on it .... dying always but getting some A list roles because of the meme

IzzyB33

It is to help with copyright. Unless you want the fam being fined or the video taken down that transparency is probably gonna stay.

Garrett Serbin

Great reaction to the best trilogy ever made

James Skelton

Boromirs redemption is easily the best.

Amanda Williams

The Rings Of Powers is an utter dumpster fire. The is a good film within the The Hobbit though.

Sean b

The hobbit and lotr my favourite movies and books of all time

alison

i'll never get tired of new people enjoying these. they're special.

Sara Croughan

I'm so excited that I joined y'all's patreon. Thank you for making it so convenient with the price. Only channel that has done that. I'll make sure to go to your YouTube videos and give them a like and comment for the algorithm etc

Tys van Zeijl

"Ganja-dalf blaze up pipe in di dawn, say wisdom live longer than any sword drawn."

Travis Akin

Finally signed up so I could watch the full things and holy crap, I had no idea "extended" meant the entire darn thing! Lol This is awesome.

Gryff

Ahh dat story from deep inna hills of Middle Irie!

Ciara A.G.

I’m. Very late and idk if anyone mentioned it, but they yeeted Boromir off the waterfall to prevent Orcs from eating his body. Those particular boats are made to basically always keep upright so the idea was that he would travel along the river getting…not eaten.

Omar Banda

Spent many hours playing that Twin Towers game on the PlayStation 2!! Game was so much fun
