I swear I would never watch this movie again just because it’s so hard to watch emotionally. But the part with the mom‘s leg absolutely makes me want to throw up. The prosthetics are so realistic.

Yaaaaaaaassssss! Been waiting for 84 years….. 😂😂 I’m sorry it was so sad but it’s an amazing film. I vividly remember watching TV from New Zealand of the aftermath. It was really hard to get your head around the scale of what happened. Tsunami is my number 1 fear and I live 3 streets back from the beach 😬 Thanks guys, hope everyone is settling in well now Daemon has arrived.

I just looked it up and this tsunami happened in 2004 and 220,000 lives were lost. It was caused by an 9.3 earthquake, struck off the west coast of northern Sumatra in Indonesia. The waves reached 30 meters, which translates to about 98 feet (holy crap).
