BACK TO PARADIS! These are a couple stressful depressing episodes. I loved seeing what they've been doing the past couple years but the more I see the more it seems like we're so far beyond repair. Everyone becomes what they hate in the first place. Zeke is shady. Eren is just dead inside. WHERE WILL IT ALL END 😭😭 Also sorry guys, Holiday weeks are very stressful around here lol. So I'm working hard tomorrow to watch and quick turnaround STRANGER THINGS episode 1. Then it'll likely be a few days while we try to watch more ST and AOT over the weekend to post for next week! Hang in there <3

This is where people tend to start getting confused because the show tends to jump around on the timeline from here on out, back a few years then forward a year then back to the present. They don't tell you the year but its easy enough to decipher based on Erens different hair lengths and if Sasha is alive. I know you're both smart reactors and would probably know but surprisingly an awful lot of people have just ended up confused and not realised which episodes are flashbacks so just giving a heads up 🤣 THANKS FOR THE HARD WORK ❤️

(my comment is not a spoiler BUT there is a spoiler in the replies to my comment so be careful) tbf I think the laughing at Sasha's death is a traumatic response - everyone has different ways of coping and dark humor is something a lot of people use to cope with stress, grief or negative feelings. so I think he was laughing at how her last words were that she wanted meat. and I feel like it makes sense in that context (and also in hindsight tbh). either way eren is unhinged lol

We talked about it off camera when we were rewatching season 1 in dub actually lol definitely different! I haven't decided if its better or not or anything considering how different the setting has been and all 😂

I believe that Mikasa's symbol couldn't be shown earlier because of censorship, but i may be wrong. it would've been different if that aspect was introduced sooner

no matter how many times i rewatch this show, they still manage to make me cry. everything is just depressing. isayama is so great at weaving the story in such a way that we truly feel like there's no hope in sight. i'm not even a part of this crew fr, and i'm already exhausted

She was likely having a "life flashing before your eyes" moment and thought of the last happy moment which means she was with Niccolo making her food. Her saying "Niku" is so close to her saying Nicco, it just makes sense for it to be intentional that it was about Niccolo and not really meat.

people can hate Gabi and still understand the show and her character. I hate her but I know she’s meant to be a parallel of Eren. Most people do because unlike Eren, we didn’t get 3 seasons and years to bond with her character and form an attachment. We didn’t get to see her struggles so that it could make us more compassionate of her losses.

it is a coping mechanism, but not about Sasha’s last words. Eren saw Sasha’s death way before it happened when he touched Historia’s hand at the end of season 3. He saw her death, and it happened. It’s a laugh of desperation because he now realizes he can’t change the future. Therefore, he now knows that no matter how hard he tries, he can’t avoid the future he saw.

i would say that mikasa's devotion and loyalty to her family is what defines her rather than bloodline. Her character arc stays virtually the same
