ITS THE DOG ONE AND I HATE IT AND THIS SHOW IS DESPAIR IT IS ABSOLUTELY NOT THE HAPPINESS OF ALL MANKIND. This show is a 10 out of 10 but oof its a hard one! I feel like the most soft spoken reaction we've had to a series so far cause like its just hard to say any thing you just have to clench and get through. Finale soon! More laughter coming as well through movies 😂 ALSO WTF BARRY HOW YOU FUMBLE SABRINA LIKE THAT.

I’m still upset about this episode 💀 also I should’ve said animals not just dogs 😭 RETURN OF THE JEDI tomorrow

Dakota Lehigh

I knew this episode would hit hard

Kasey

It’s definitely a hard watch. Every time I’ve seen this episode I just have to remind myself that this was, in a horrible way, kinder than letting them all get poisoned and die of radiation slowly 🥲

Tales of the Chronicler

Whenever I rewatch this show, I always skip through this episode, avoiding any scenes where they're "hunting". Silver lining? Some animals did survive, became feral, and are doing quite well in what has essentially become an unintentional wildlife sanctuary. Bears, horses, wolves. All flourishing out there. Not much of a consolation, but its something.

RabidMango

Yah tough watch this one.

Lauren Jernigan

It’s really important to understand the “baby absorbs it instead” is just what they THOUGHT happened at the time. It’s not actually what would have happened.

Yeah, this was the one I was anticipating your reactions on, not out of excitement, just because it’s such an absolute heartbreaker. Anyone who’s watched this series knows this is the one that packs a hell of a punch. Especially if you’re an animal lover. It’s all just so sad and tragic. Such a brutal series but so incredibly done. I’m enjoying your reactions to it.

Gylfie

Not gonna lie I fast forwarded through the dog part.

Dark Harvest

I've never re watched this episode before until today but I thought I should considering I voted for it but i think the finale is worth it. Thanks for watching it.

Plinko Zoinks

You're past the worst of it now. 5 isn't as bad.

Roblox Learning

Not sure if you noticed, but the soldier who shot the cow was Pip from Game of Thrones, and the one important person who gave that speech everyone clapped to in the first episode was Maester Luwin, the Maester for the Starks.

Cristabel

There’s also Theon’s right hand iron born man, the guy who shook everyone’s hand near the end of this episode and thanked them for their service.

Marcos Paulo

Thx 4 keep going. I’d imagine that would be the hardest part to get through 2 u. 💪

Jack

It’s called an “egg basket” because, in Russian, human balls are commonly referred to using the Russian word for “eggs.” In English, it’s different, since “balls” comes from the same word used for sports equipment, like basketballs or footballs.

Maddy

You guys should watch the TV show Firefly after this. Its only 14 episodes and its fun and charming with a huge cult following and a subsequent movie. Chernobyl is an exceptional mini series, but its so heavy.

The heli hit the wires from the crane just so we are all on the same page here xD

Megan

So I looked up what the trucks were spraying and it's "a sticky, molasses-like decontamination liquid called Bourda" to trap radiation dust/particles to prevent the wind from carrying it further. It acts like glue. They sprayed it on everything and once dried, it became a thick rubber like film that they would then roll up and dispose of the same way they did other radioactive waste.

Bookwormy

IT REALLY SUCKS MAN. You got through.

Nick Parker

By the way, the helicopter that crashed earlier didn’t crash because of radiation. It clipped the wire hanging from the crane. You can see it if you look carefully. It really did happen only it happened later. I wish they made it clearer.

MaggieStormborn

Man I repressed this episode and that was super thoughtful of past me cause ugh 😭

ADorneofSwords

i know it is awful, but in some ways, killing the animals is a mercy. some would have died from radiation poisoning, painfully, slowly. some would have died from eating contaminated food, likely leading to cancer which would result in slow painful deaths as well. some would have starved slowly. in many ways this is the right thing to do, but i also get that it is awful and terrible.

Kyle Hill has a bunch of good YouTube videos about this.
