It had been eight hours since the forces of Legion had made their way to the Mad King's palace. They had been utterly defeated by the man's mere presence, without even being able to see his face. But they did not give up. They still had tricks up their sleeves.

What was Dale's purpose for the game again? I can't remember but then again considering the preparations being made for the invasion that information could have been pushed aside somewhere in my mind. Was it to give people a safer environment to practice the energies or something?

1) Safe environment to train and practice skills. 2) Encourage interstellar travel once the game hit the appropriate stage 3) It was free for him, and good recreation for his people

If I was Dale, I'd have logged into my Adminaccount right then and there, just to kick Aurivy back to the ground. Such an unsatisfying and anticlimactic ending is just grating...
