I must say I am a bit shocked that Tsubaki used her most iconic weapon/appearance there, especially while she's so weak overall. She would have never stood for that kind of thing back in the day.

The mission that she had set for herself was to defeat players far above her level, using the means at her disposal. Given Dale's mission that he gave her, she fully plans to reveal herself to the world of the game. As such, there was no point in hiding her scythe, once she determined that the enemies she was facing were worthy of her using it.
