My days of waiting seemed rather slow at first, the urge to return to the world building up now and then. I kept wanting to personally check up on things, experience what was new firsthand, or simply watch the world grow as I sped it up just a bit more.

If Dale places the fairy gate on the world from the start, will he not have to worry about invasions on that world?

Keep in mind the plan Dale's already laid out. By the time the next invasion becomes an issue, his goal is to be prepared to advance to rank 2, essentially earning a skip for one round. This gives that world at least one extra round to grow alongside the other worlds.
