New Game Announcement: Wedgie Campus (Patreon)

We're ready to announce our next project, which for now we are calling Wedgie Campus. It's a parody/life sim about bullying on a college campus. To pay tuition, you sell your soul to a demon, but in exchange, the demon demands that you torment your fellow students. Do you give in to the dark side and become a campus villain, or do you try to strike a balance and make friends while pacifying the demon?

You can see some of the gameplay in the trailer. The game has a scheduling system where you find characters in different locations depending on the time of day. You can interact with them to make them like you or fear you. It includes a detailed wedgie minigame, which uses real bouncing physics and has a dynamic scoring system.

The plan is to launch the alpha later this month on itch.io. We're trying a new release model for this one based on what we've seen other developers do. The alpha will be available for paid Patreon members or for $5. If you buy it on itch.io, you should have access to all future updated versions, even if the price of the game increases (we would expect version 1.0 of the game to be somewhere in the $10–$20 range). If you get it through Patreon, you have access to that version of the game forever, but to download future updates, you would need to be a Patreon member at that time.

The reason for this change is because this we want this to be a big game with regular updates. It will be more complicated to balance than our previous games, but using this Early Access style release will help us adjust things on the fly while still having enough funding to continue.

We have a lot of exciting future updates planned and will talk more about those when the alpha comes out later this month.
