Hey folks!! So I was thinking of moving my Patreon Price up to $9 instead of $8, and for that extra price I was going to try and push you guys to be 3 or 4 reactions ahead compared to Youtube. I would also like to start doing more animated movies this year (you've probably seen some sitting on my Trello). These MAY eventually end up on Youtube but likely they'll take ages to edit anyway so you guys may get them weeks or even months before Youtube, if they're not Patreon exclusives.

What would you guys want? Keep the $8 price tag and stay just 2 reactions ahead, or build up more for the $9? :D

If you give us more we give you more, it's only fair

Martin E Melcher

You should be paid and be able to pay your team for the work you do so I do support a proce increase like this (one dollar isn't that much of an ask. Worst case I cut myself off for a month from patreon to build up money again)

Sarah Mishmash

All of this for MORE content?! And just a dollar increase???? Girl I see nothing but benefits here, I’m totally down

DrDewott

I'm just down with whatever suits ya best. Not opposed to an extra buck for even more content, but if it turns out to be too much for you Im not gonna be complaining. Im just along for the ride and hoping whatever you choose works out for you.

Jack Jack

More for us is more work for you. Of course you and your team deserve more for your extra work. ☺️

Tricimir *

By all means, increase the cost if you'd like to! Buuut... I don't actually see any benefit to changing it to 4 episodes ahead. We're not getting anything more, you'd just be making the rest of your audience wait longer. We'd still be getting the same amount of content unless you're updating faster. I do not recommend you double your speed of uploading just for a dollar. Again, I'm all for one of my favorite creators giving themself a raise. You absolutely deserve it. Just... not seeing any benefits.

cthulhudude23

The additional offerings are generous for a very modest price increase. Even if you needed to increase for nothing additional, it would have been very understandable. Cheers!

TF

It's only fair you should be paid well for the job you do. Look at it this way, minimum wage goes up with inflation, ergo why not charge a little more for your own work? Cost of living sure ain't getting any easier.

Sanmei

Ack, I'm all for you getting more in the hypothetical, but my current financial situation is "presumably dead at the bottom of a shallow crater ala Yamcha" so my vote has caveats. XD

Willow Arkan

I mostly ambivalent on the actual increase in episodes ahead, since i am here for the full reactions, especially songs. As songs get copyright stricken out of existence most of the time. So i guess i'll support the increase for the movies.

Flufux

Hmmm...I just can't decide. So for once, I'm just going to...not vote. I trust the rest of you to make whatever decision you think is fair. While I'm not made of money, more reactions is certainly not something I'm against.

alovieruu

as much as i dont want to pay more i think its worth it

Syllephia

Being on a fixed income, I don't like the idea of prices going up, but you need to make a living. And an extra dollar from each of us could have a significant impact on your finances. I, for one, don't need an increase to our video advancement to justify you doing whatever you need to do. I won't be voting here because my perspective can't be properly expressed in a simple yes or no format. My opinion boils down to "I think you should do what you need to exist how you want in this end stage capitalist society.

Kat

I am more than happy to pay the $9.00. That is cheap for the quality of entertainment you are producing for us. Just don't overwhelm yourself in the process. Honestly I would vote for the pay increase even without the extra reactions. You deserve the pay increase. But I am delighted at the idea of extra reactions. 😁

Matrim

A lot of creators seem to be raising prices, and I get that times are tough for everyone, but something’s gotta give somewhere and I’m gonna be forced to pare back. While I love your reactions, at this point I’m here exclusively for Steven Universe, and I’m paying more here than I am for most other creators already. I like supporting folks on Patreon, but it’s getting to the point where I’m not going to be able to afford to support everyone I have been supporting. It really sucks and I wish things were different, but that’s where I stand.

KimSea009

I voted for the $9 option, but I wish to clarify, you already post enough to justify $10 and even at a $9 increase, I wouldn't want anything more than what you already do (okay, maybe I'd want one thing but that's just a show request (centaurworld) and that's not exactly something a random patron would be able to pick in this instance >.<)

Suplee215

I dont feel comfortable voting as I'm not planning on being a long time pateron right now but I won't have an issue joining again with the higher price. It's just no show currently interests me

Mr. Waspman

Sure, what's one more dollar. It's only fair of your giving us more. I can't wait to see what you have planned.

marauderluverz (Luci)

Im all for you making an increase to the price if needed, and I'd be way interested in seeing some more movie reactions. Would love to have those to watch with you.

peachy af

yeeeah im usually only every on someone's patreon for a specific show so im like hmmm how worth it would it be idk

Nightowl

For me the difference between $8 or $9 is negligible but I know that’s not true for everyone so it doesn’t feel right for me to vote on it. Being ahead of YouTube is not important to me but additional reactions would be fun. If at some point there are no reactions that interest me, I’ll cancel my subscription regardless of the price.

Olive

I will always be willing to pay more for more content!

Someday Sera

I'm relatively indifferent to being further ahead, videos being uncut on patreon is the major appeal for me. That said, you do great work, and I'm perfectly happy paying an extra $12 a year for the entertainment. (and if it finally gets us 2022's ninja turtles movie that's been on trello, so much the better, it's right up there with across the spiderverse, for some of the most creative art direction i've ever seen, It'd be a very fun react)

Stephen Mumford

As is with several others responses here in the comments, I don't mind a single dollar increase (I already feel the value for the $8 is quite high already!) so I don't really have any dog in this race. That said, I think the option should be more about what feel you can provide regularly. I'd rather watch X videos per time interval from a robust, happy Mosco than I would want to pay more to watch X+1 videos per time interval from a stressed-out, rushed Mosco.

Someday Sera

I did cancel a few, but mostly podcasts where the benefit was no ads (and who charged per episode) that got a little pricey. My patreon had ballooned to nearly $40 last year which was getting a little scary on my retail income.

Stephen Mumford

I'm in the same boat, as I have a set amount per month I allow for my Patreons. If something gets too expensive, I have to pare back on some others, and folks that i only follow for a single series are often the first to go. That said, I don't think I've seen any Patreon accounts set up that allow for people to just choose specific individual series only, like an à la carte menu. Like, if you want to see someone's SU reactions, just purchase access to those only from their Patreon. And then if they also want to see their Star Wars reactions, they just purchase access to those posts as well for an additional fee. I suspect that's because the tier setup Patreon operates on isn't compatible for a cart-based 'add custom items' sort of thing, but I think it might be beneficial to creators and viewers alike.

Alex the Raccoon

I mean I'm on board so long as it doesn't take a toll on you and your health. I would much rather stay where it lies now and have a healthy and happy you than have it go up and have a stressed and unhappy you. Ultimately it's up to you but my 2 cents is just be safe about it.

Ryan

I'm voting for the secret third option - $11 and the same level of content, so you can afford to visit your awesome girlfriend more often and we get more grocery punning 🙃

Brendon J. Dube

I'm voting for the price increase, but please don't push yourself to do more than you're comfortable with.

Simon Davis

Yes, this - being more episodes ahead isn't really a draw as a regular subscriber (new videos still come out at the same rate once you're caught up!) but the uncut videos are why I'm here. Perfectly happy to simply be funding the videos without pushing for *moar content*.

WolfieOo

I can't really afford going higher than $10. But while I can't really afford the increase, it's more to what you, the creator, feel comfortable doing. (I don't really want to vote as I can't afford it but I understand why the question.) Heck, you could do a different mid tier to help get the animation things going for those who can and want to support you in these endeavors. However, do not overwork yourself. There is youtube/creator burnout for a reason. Just got to find your balance.

Tintros

Fair either way, do what helps you out.

Joey Quixote

An extra buck a month is no big deal. I appreciate the heads up. And I appreciate the commitment to getting us more in return. Just don't go burning yourself out on account of this, alright? You do a lot for your subscribers already on top of being a regular in the Discord. We appreciate all of it!

SK- Eferthigra

a dollar a month isn't a big deal do whatever you need to do heck if you shadow raised the price with no benefits I probably wouldn't have noticed

Wee Lass Reacts

I do love being a regular in discord :D but yeah even if I could get you guys 3 episodes ahead it actually helps me if I fall ill or something because then I have stuff to fall back on for Youtube at least! I like being ahead :D and I want to work on getting my edits ahead too, so that way if I take ill or need a week off I can get it without worrying.

Wee Lass Reacts

I have no plan to go higher than $10 anytime soon! It would just be $1 extra a month for now, but would allow me to maybe look at taking on another editor which could really help me overall. Thanks for your honesty and feedback!

Wee Lass Reacts

BAHAHAHAHAHAHA maybe I should make that an actual tier LOL

Mimi

Your content output raising that much, I think you should honestly raise it to $10! 10 feels like such a fair price, anything below is like a sweet deal. Do whatever you feel is best!

Annieme

Ooh movies and/or mayhaps watch parties? Those are fun xD

Eliteguard99

I would give anything to see you react to the studio Ghibli movies.

Blue Eons

omg she hasn’t seen them?? I would go crazy for her reactions

Matthew Outlaw

Being farther ahead of the YouTube release schedule is largely meaningless, as episodes still come out at the same pace regardless. I'd most likely still stay even with a slightly higher price as I like having the uncut reactions from this channel, but this is already one of the more expensive patterns I follow as it it

Dafydd Mac an Leigh

I'm not really a fan of the idea at this point, but tbh it's probably because I've but little interest in the current reaction schedule. (Hilda's pretty fun, but I've never cared about SU or Duck Tales) I will probably be of a very different opinion once Mighty Nein and Lackadaisy come out. ;-)

Wee Lass Reacts

Totally fair, have a look at the trello and see if the movies interest you, if not then maybe just drop down to the $3 a month one to keep just the discord access until something comes out that you like?

KittyPryde21

right now I only joined to be ahead for your SU reactions, I dont really have interest in the others you are doing at the moment. That being said, I think an extra dollar so I can be even further ahead on your SU reactions alone is worth it to me 😅Im gonna check out this Trello thing and see what you've got brewing for the future!

Someday Sera

the trello link is under the "membership" tab on her patreon page. It's basically just a list of stuff in production, you can see what she's recorded but not posted, what she intends to record soon, whats on patreon but not edited for youtube yet etc. (it's why people started posting jailbreak spoilers in the discord a few days before she posted it, because they could see she had already watched it) There is a big list of movies on there she's been meaning to watch for a while now that she's referencing, i'm most interested in the new-ish ninja turtles movie myself, since that gets real creative with the animation and art direction in a way I think mosco will love.

Someday Sera

I'd heavily suggest going forward with mutant mayhem soon, it's art direction is really fun and creative in similar ways to across the spiderverse, I think you'd really like it, even if just for the visual spectacle. (i'd also love to see land before time, just because it was a childhood staple, most Don Bluth movies would be good react's really, even if you've seen them before (as I assume anybody from our generation has)

Someday Sera

yeah, same, I'm here for the uncut videos more than being ahead, but i'm largely fine with paying mosco an extra $12 a year anyways, her videos have become such a staple of my tuesday/thursday/sunday lunch breaks, it's worth the extra buck a month.

Vartixs

So long as you don't end up over working yourself I'm willing to pay more for more.

Markus Erdt

For practical reasons, it makes sense to keep movies as well as music heavy stuff on patreon to avoid the extra editing. I kind of wish there was a cheaper option without the movies included though - if that is possible with Patreon's programming. Also, it would be nice to have at least 1 movie reaction there if you switch to that model. ^^

Cass

I don't mind a dollar increase but only if it doesn't push you to burnout

HeroNotFound

I don’t mind paying 1 more dollar, but don’t feel forced to burn yourself out for us girl!
