Isaac deserved to die the first time I think. He was willing to kill Gomez to save his sister. Which youncan argue is understandable and to a point it is but he died in an accident due to that. His sister certainly didnt deserve what happened though. The teacher did say he didnt care for anyone but his sister and it really shows. I think he could have found a way to makenthe tech work without killing Gomez, such as bringing in another sparks such as Fester or jsut taking longer to make the tech but both take time and he isnt patient.

The final 3 episodes made me absolutely love Agnes. How fucking fitting is it that the invisible girl felt unseen by her own family? A child of divorce. Just wanted someone's approval. We're glad she found herself, and I hope she returns next season. Proud to say I clocked Thing as Isaac's hand in episode 4. As soon as they seemed to recognize eachother at Willow Hill, I realized Isaac had been wearing gloves this whole time. I didn't make the connection between the Knight signet ring and Isaac's surname. And I completely missed the corpse moth landing on Thing until Elijah pointed it out. And the subtle wordplay, Thing being an anagram for Night... judging by Wednesday's reaction, that has Gomez written all over it. So next season Wednesday is on a road trip to save her girl. How does Capri and her pack of Hydes figure into it? I think, all things considered, Tyler will redeem himself.

I wonder if Agnes also prepared a list of potential girlfriends for Enid... who could possibly be on the top of the list? Given that every member of the Addam's family (including Thing) almost died, it's entirely possible that the headstone was for the entire family. Isaac rebuilding the laboratory looks like it might have been mostly practical effects and I love it. VFX might be easier (if the plates are good) there's a charm to puppeteering that makes it worth all the extra setup. But VFX isn't union and IATSE is, and studios are notoriously cheap. Fun fact, this is also why 3D animation "killed" 2D animation - the traditional animators at Disney were union, too. Tyler's arc is subtle, but incredibly dark. He'll be back for season three, no doubt, and it will be interesting to see how Wednesday's act of mercy plays out. I think he embraces his Hyde because he thinks its the only thing that makes him special. Without it, he's nobody. If I understand Ms. Capri's offer right, being able to connect with other masterless Hydes might be good for him. And more scenes if Ms. Capri will be good for your girlfriend ;) As for Enid ... I cannot for one minute believe that season three is not going to be a love story. Maybe an aromantic one, but a love story. They've been laying the ground work for it all season. "The tunnel at the end of my light", the body swap, "the truth is Wednesday, you are my pack." and Enid's sacrifice to save Wednesday. And now Wednesday is going out into the wilderness to find her. You can count on one hand the number of tropes that sets them up for. And saving the gay for the last season is a tactical choice with Netflix.

For you questions on season 3, it seems like its going to start filming this November and seen some people are predicting it might come out around summer-ish of 2027? Hopefully that stays on track and we don't end up with another 3 year gap lol

I love the framing of the shot at 5:12 where the stained glass windows are given the suggestion of being angel wings. Very cool.

Cliff

Morticia burned Goody's book. I don't remember her saying she was going to burn Ophelia's journal.

warning you in advance before you get invested, do not ship agnes and enid! agnes is like 14. the actor of agnes is 16 and the actor of enid is over 18😭

I don’t know but if I had to guess, Knight was using telekinesis to animate the glove?

Dinker

They didn't show Night doing anything with his right hand that wasn't a gross manipulation of the dirt in the glove. Like he rammed the chloroform into Pugsley's face with it, but that was about as fancy as he got. Explicitly a DaVinci's telekinesis is located in the right hand. It was purposeful.

Season 3 is going to be the summer vacation season it seems. We'll see what they answer about all the tidbits they left. For the next school principal I want to nominate Gomez. Mosco mentioned something about maybe Morticia running the school. But a pro-Outcast lawyer with no abilities running the school, who is super laid back who might crash out halfway through the season if the kids don't respect him and try to get away with everything sounds awesome as hell.

Rewatching this through you and Elijah made me realize just how often Grandmama kept trying to have Wednesday come visit her at her property. She offered to have her come learn her "craft" before being siren songed, then acted like she was still going after learning she'd been songed, then AGREED with Morticia that she should leave and stay at the property again. Why does she want Wednesday to come see her so bad, with her "insane" hidden daughter that's been having visions of Wednesday for 30ish years?

Alright, so final thoughts. I think I still like season 1 more as a whole, even with the Wednesday love triangle bs. This season felt like they were trying to juggle too much, and got a little over ambitious. I also don't like how they did Enid's sacrifice at the end. You mean to tell me she transforms having to dig Weds out and then doesn't at least help her take on the Hydes before bolting? She doesn't transform again having to save Weds from the Hydes again? It just felt... eh? I also just didn't care for the Hyde storyline in general and I'm not looking forward to them bringing it back again next season (most likely). I was looking forward to a Tyler trying to get revenge spree and they turned it into whatever the heck weirdness his mom and uncle had going on. Also, not entirely sure how true this is, but apparently the writers originally just had Fester going after Enid at the end and it was Jenna that had to be like "uh, no? Wednesday should go too." Again, allegedly that's how that went down but if so.... Thank you Jenna for actually giving a shit (also just super funny that apparently next season is going to be Weds trying to save Enid...again. Like, come on, they're doing this on purpose). BUT! That said, I will say that I feel like there were also some improvements. They let Tim do more of his Burton-y things (stop motion story time, literally watching a man burn to death etc etc). The body swap episode was a real highlight. Grandmama was fun. Getting Weems back (even if the logic for it was bs) was great. Agnes was a delightful addition to the cast and I really hope we see more of her in the future. I love this little trio. Bianca getting more screen time was great. Fleshing out Ajax a little more? Great. I actually found Dort to be a pretty effective villain. Enid's wolf also just looked so much better this season. So, a mixed bag, but so was the first season if we're honest even if the first season's script felt tighter. I am interested to see what goes on next season, especially with Hester apparently having been keeping her daughter locked up all this time.

Am i wrong to want more Lurch?

They begin filming for the next season in spring 2026! They were supposed to start filming in November 2025 but it got postponed sadly! :(
