Oz's semblance...hmmm. It could it be that of the body he's currently in, but at the same time they've more or less said it's tied to the soul. So does the souls merging just modify it...or do the two semblances create a third, new one.

Ep 5: Winter wasn't rolling her eyes. She was trying to hide her smile. She's proud of Weiss she's just trying to be all Schnee about it. Also, yes, it does make logical sense that if you have an entire army full of people you've trained and been the authority figure of since they were young adults (17-22) and have shuffled into your army right out of college you would just pick the most loyal and most apt woman to be your Maiden. Doesn't stop being what it is, but there is logic to it. Oh! Look! It’s my favorite new character of the Atlas arc!! Our very own Robin Hood… or, well, Robyn Hill in this case. Along with her Happy Huntresses (Merry Men). Cristina “Vee” Valenzuela does her voice, who you might recognize as Verosika from Helluva Boss. And I agree with her, if Mantle has a whole in their wall that’s allowing Grimm to just waltz into the city, maybe fix that first before relocating all your supplies on the big project. Just a thought. Might make Mantle hate you a little less, Jimmy. That montage is so good at the beginning. Especially love watching the Bees work together…. And Blake dragging Yang along to get ready for the day. And Blake falling asleep in Yang’s lap. ….Ah… We Bee shippers are being fed. Background Bees are so good, man. Ep 6: The Bee moments are going to murder me, they’re so cute. And then having Nora be like “you think they’re just friends? Really?” Like…. Ugh! BEES!!! Also, Weiss taking on look at the Bees and being like “I am not third wheeling that” and going to the movies with the boys was so funny. Suffering Weiss, my beloved. And speaking of Nora, girl finally got that kiss… Too bad it was almost immediately ruined by our baddies. I’ve always appreciated that Robyn never considered her victory certain. She kept saying ‘if’ she got elected, not when. And she seemed to be the only one actually concerned that the voting was that close. It’s kind of funny, Penny is being framed for murder when originally Pyrrha was framed for her murder. Ah, memories.

My thinking with stopping Salem has always been, if destroying her or curing her of her Grimm nature was as simple as getting someone with Silver Eyes to Zap her, then Ozpin would have done it a Long time ago. With how long they've been battling each other and how long hes known about the Silver Eyes and how obvious that his to try, he simply has to have. Salem having sent her followers out to hunt silver eyed people also heavily implies it Has been used against her before, and maybe it Hurts her, but it clearly hasn't stopped her all the same There could be a way to stop Salem maybe involving the Silver Eyes, but theres no way it would be something as Simple as using them on her normally.

Chapter 5: Summer's grave is literally the first thing seen in RWBY, assuming the trailers are canon. So it would be a massive "fuck you" to the FNDM if they never resolved that plot point. But it would also subvert the trope. Huh, fun little detail - Mantle stop signs are hexagons. "What is going on between Ren and Nora?" They're friends, Mosco. Just friends. The Qrowver ship name is "Fair Game". And when someone gives you a compliment, you should parry it and return the compliment. I believe it's called "flirting". Chapter 6: My money is also on Oscar's semblance being about time. But what? It could be being able to look forward or backward in time, move forward or backward in time, or slow down or speed up time. I think a person's semblance is always what the person needs in that moment ... so I worry that it will be the ability to go back in time, trying again and again to fix a moment in time. Mosco's optimism for BMBLB is adorable. CRWBY is dangling it over her like shiny keys to distract her. "Look! Look at the Sapphic! Everything is going to be okay! Pay no attention to the political conspiracy we've been setting up..." "I was not expecting that!" Remember "YOU CAN'T KNOW! YOU'RE ONLY IN VOLUME SIX!" That was this moment. But remember the last time somebody kissed, back in volume three? I'm sure everything we'll be fine, though. Epilogue: Penny: "It will be just like Beacon again!" And it is. Manipulating a widely televised event to make it look like the good girl is a bad girl to inspire widespread fear, anger, and panic. Sing along if you know the words...

So the fact that Atlas has bunk beds in thier dorms makes me question why Winter was shocked that Weiss and her team had bunk beds at Beacon when Weiss told her that thier bunk beds only look unstable.

Seriously ponder the prevalence of 'ships' in RWBY circa Volume 7. Many of the ships have been dashed by the circumstances and choices of the players. Arkos aka Jaune and Pyrhha is done. White Knight aka Jaune and Weiss are gone. Even Tai Yang and Raven and/or Summer is gone. While there are potential ships in Fair Game/Lucky Chams/Karma/Knock on Wood (Qrow and Clover), Bumblebee (Yang and Blake or Yake and Blang hehe), and maybe some others, the only true canon ships with fulfillment are Ghira and Khali (no real ship name out there) and Saphron and Terra (Arkotta). But Ren and Nora have been teased since Volume 1 just as Bumblebee has been subtly teased since Volume 2 and Yang's story about her search for Raven when chatting with her other half Blake. Ren and Nora, however, have been simmering in the pot for more than a decade. They met at 6 or 7 years of age. Nora swooned over Ren immediately, but like the "Boop" song's lyrics say she has bit her tongue and booped Ren instead of saying she loves him. Ren, the more straight laced of the two, has reserved himself perhaps in fear of losing her. They spent a decade together, likely without any help from adults, just trying to not die in a very scary world of monsters, bandits, and who knows what in Mistral. They joined Beacon's ranks when they were 16 after 10 years of adventures and bonding. And likely another year or two have passed since. Renora is the ship that is most likely to survive CRWBY and they belong together more than any other characters in this magnificent show.

She's assumed dead since she's been missing since before Ruby could even talk, which is a long time ago now. I would comment about Robyn's VA and who else she has voiced, but I'm sure other people have already beaten me to the punch lol Yep, Robyn Hill and her Happy Huntresses - Robin Hood and his Merry Men. In Ruby's defence, is she wants a nickname - and pipsqueak no less - it should be up to her and not a stranger. And pipsqueak is rarely used positively lol

Ah, but Pipsqueak is foreshadowing for when Oscar uses the last of Ozpin's magic to turn team RWBY into small animals - a mouse, snow bunny, black cat, and corgi, respectively - so they can infiltrate Never Ever Land to rescue Salem's long lost son, who inherited part of his mother's curse and never grows old.

The only issue I got with Ironwood's plan is the unintended consequence it will lead to with Atlas being in charge. One major fault of Atlas seems to be its own ego and theres no way that atlas does the plan to tell everyone, destabilize each nation and come in to save the day without atlas ending up on top. Theres no way for instant communication so no way to fully work with the others but should be able to send messengers to each kingdom to make them aware of what thry are doing to prepare too. Also to open communication all at once instead of one at a time. I get why ironwood isnt doing that and is keeping things secret until hes able to. It makes sense but its like Gylnda said, he needs to trust others.

Lots of reactors have theorized that Summer is/was the Summer maiden. Others also predict that at the end, all of RWBY would be maidens. Personally, I hope above EVERYTHING else this does not happen. It's just too...ideal and unrealistic. Thankfully, the writers have always seemed to be more subtle and interested in more complex storylines. Also, LOVE your reaction to this one! Renora! This. Is. I really hope you'll love her and the Happy Huntresses. no surprise you loved Fiona (the sheep Faunus) at first sight; pretty sure Elijah had a similar reaction. as a super fan of Winter, I am obliged to point out that while she is indeed cold, it is worth remembering that all of the Schnees are the way they are in large part because of Jacques. doesn't fully excuse bad behavior, of course, but recall how Weiss was at first... Winter is the version that probably had it worse and never got a chance to really grow out of that ice-olation. totally valid about wanting to see Blake and Yang dance. ONE DAY! it is truly infuriating how well executed the villain plans are. just as Qrow said back in v4, they've been planning all this shit for a long time, and Salem literally has all the time in the world to organize things to work in her favor. but it's also a testament to the flaws of humanity when you look closer at the weaknesses they exploit - not just individuals, but at the societal level. this Atlas arc is a great demonstration of that.

The presence of penguins in the tundra is a neat little world building for Solitas, if you ask me. Their presence implies that it's as isolated from the rest of the world as our Antarctic, so no other land animals are present. And the fact that the Grimm couldn't handle the cold until recently really speaks of how harsh it is. And a lot of tensions, of all kinds in these episodes. And with Mr. Clip-On Tie and Techy-Mustache rigging the votes, things aren't going to look pretty from the look of things.

Hope you can get over the rest of that cough soon, sounds painful. A full introduction to Robyn Hill and her Happy Huntresses. As you guessed, they are all based off Robin Hood and his Merry Men. (And associated characters). The 'rob from the rich to give to the poor' is covered on the Atlas/Mantle issue and Robyn's a very big voice for Mantle first, Atlas... later. The focus on her holding out her hand was deliberate, though as far as we know, there was no notable history between Robyn and Clover. You've already swooned over Fiona (sheep Faunus) and have met Joanna and May. Or as they were (roughly) based on, Friar Tuck, Little John and Maid Marian. You'll like May's secret... when it comes up eventually. You over applied what Jackass did. He shut down "unnecessary" Dust operations. Power and heating are very critical. But everything else? That's down, and with it almost certainly a good portion of the Atlas/Mantel economy. First time I watched this chapter, this I expected his plan was to hold the economy hostage until/unless he got the council seat. And with this chapter, the Volume 7 intro is covered, you can watch it at your leisure. With a night off, Weiss takes pretty much the literal first opportunity to not be around the Useless Lesbians Who Don't See They're Lesbians. "With the graceful feline thing..." *looks to pet cat who actually fell off the back of the couch while walking* .... RRRrriiiiiiight. I do get the dispelling the Grimm from Salem, though do recall what she did even before that. She instigated and lead a multi-kingdom rebellion against embodied gods and triggered an instant global genocide of humans. No Grimm in her there, just a 'normal' human woman. She'll still be immortal and able to recover from (apparently) anything. She'll still have her magic. She'll still be more interested in wiping out everything on the chance it also includes her. "I think Pipsqueak fits Ruby perfectly." Ruby: "I'm not short! Everyone else is too tall! Don't push me; I have a scythe and quick access to all your kneecaps!"

Well, to be fair, Weiss, being the self-confidant girl she is, would flirt /at/ Jaune first. Sort of, she is a bit tsundere though. Still right that it would happen before Blang and Yake become official.

I absolutely love the head-cannon of Ruby being on the Ace spectrum! She hasn’t really shown much interest in anyone thus far and seems confused or annoyed any time relationship stuff comes up. I personally ship Nuts n’ Dolts as either a purely romantic relationship or as a queer-platonic partnership because it has always seemed to me that they just genuinely enjoy being around each other. Also, an interesting note about the last Chapter you watched, the camera does a lot of movement that seems to follow the character’s eyes, and there are a couple of times that we specifically see Ruby and Penny check in on each other. The first time is when Ruby is standing near the stage just before the countdown ended. We see her looking excited and looking around, and then she specifically leans forward to be able to check on Penny which is the only reason she saw Tyrian’s tail sticking out of the crowd. Then when Penny activated her night vision the first thing she does is locate Ruby and check on her.

So most of Remnant is low on dust. Specially after borders were closed. I would even go as far as to say that Vale has little to no dust at all, considering that Cider had Roman "steal every last speck of dust in the kingdom” and even train shipments with heavy artillery prototype mechs. So yeah, if Atlas isn't doing good then the rest of the world is suffering x7 with no supplies and depending solely on huntsmen, small reserves of dust and abilities.

Just wait until volume 9 where it's revealed The Schnee Family semblance is a result of pieces of the moon crashing down onto Remnant long ago, Weiss' ancestors becoming radiated by the leftover magic of the God of Darkness to make their semblance so versatile and hereditary.
