Amanda (a.k.a. Monster Girl) is one of my favorite members of the new Guardians... Plus Robot (barring ONE thing in S3 - I am STILL kinda "iffy" about that desition 😅) -btw had not read the comics so no spoilers/hints whatsoever to future S4 and later stuff

As much of an a hole as Rex is, he does have a handy ability with explosions and Robot knows his strengths and weaknesses and how to work woth him. Teen team was already in the top 4 of hero teams before the guardians got destroyed. Still an a hole but makes sense Robit will prioritize team synergy. Also I think "thanks for the help" was sarcasm that robot just let him get beat up

You notice that Robot instantly says "Rex, what did you do?" No hesitation that he *wasn't* the problem. Yes, go see the Grand Canyon. Indeed, if you can, take the "Grand Canyon Railway" trip from Williams AZ to the South Rim, so worth it. Mt Rushmore...well, Doc Seismic isn't *wrong,* lot of questionable history involved in it...

Unfortunate fact about Mount Rushmore is not only did its construction break a literal treaty that had granted that land to the Lakota people, but it was a defacement of a sacred monument for the Lakota nation

Rex sarcastically thanked Robot for his help because he didn't stop Monster Girl from wailing on him. Possibly because he also didn't help with the Eve situation, though, I wouldn't expect Robot to know how to handle that.

Yeah, Mark not knowing where Mount Rushmore is makes sense, as our education system has been degraded to ensure we don't know enough so we'll blindly follow those on top rather than ask questions or know of the darker deeds of our history. And just wait until you learn the reason Omni Man feels so confusing is because there are TWO of him that keep alternating places within microseconds.

Mount Rushmore is extremely problematic in and of itself. The site was a sacred place for native Americans and it was turned into a monument for old white men. You can argue about the moral character of all of them but they did reside over america who have plenty of skeletons in our closet.

It's a good show, and your reactions to it have been great! :) -I am astonished the Dupli-Kate scene (you know which one) got by without so much as an innuendo. Heh. But fair, you were focused on Rex being a total knob. -I hadn't realized before the gender makeup % of the new Guardians. Huh. Interesting. -Mt. Rushmore.. Uhh.. DC is like *holds fingers up* Thiiiiiiiis big. There aren't any mountains.. oh nevermind you're googling it. There's a LOT of monuments in DC, but sounds like you should watch the National Treasure movies :) -That's ok.. we have a lot of states :) A LOT of Americans couldn't find Scotland on a map.. sadly. -Rex deserves no sympathy.

For some reason in season 1 the audio mixing with the characters and action scenes are quite weird, I noticed that when rewatching that I have the constantly turn up the volume when the characters are speaking and turn it down when the action starts. Thankfully they fixed it in the next season.

Especially for character arcs (not specific to Rex), like there are stuff that on a rewatch (watching your reactions, because I dont usually DO rewatches) that Im like "Well... That has implications with the end of S3"

As... let's say 'unpalatable' ... as Rex is, his power is pretty good and useful... most of the time. He probably has the skills to take the spot honestly, but he is much more glass cannon next to Monster Girl's barbarian berserker, so... bad match up there. When asked cold, my first urge reply for Mount Rushmore is usually North Dakota... and then I go... 'I think?'. (I'm bad with most anything east of the Rocky Mountains.) Welcome to the Invincible 'who's on what god damn side today' roulette!

Just a couple of things. First, when William is telling Mark about the information he picked up about Amber, he didn't say he asked "her out" at school, but rather that he asked "around" at school. You did lose the subtitles after you hit the wrong button after the funeral. Second, the hero that you wanted to punch Rex whose name you forgot (Black Samson) was voiced by Khary Payton, best known as the voice of Cyborg from Teen Titans and Teen Titans GO! Another VA from Teen Titans was Tara Strong (the voice of Raven), who you would have been listening to just after watching this, since she is also the voice of Twilight Sparkle in MLP!!
