Sorry to well actually you but actually not as the lore dump is interesting. Witches do exist in dnd, the name just tends tk be given to wizards without an academy attached. Tasha (with 200 names) is probably most famous dnd witch and she was raised by hags (fae species). In critical role the term gets thrown around for a few characters, especially Ashley Laura and Marisha's c3 characters. The nickname for the trio is usually censored though

I don’t believe the Everlight abandoned Pike, rather she was told not to enter Hell as her light couldn’t reach Pike and evil beings there would seek to corrupt her. In the same form that I’m sure the Everlight in incapable of entering The Whisphered One’s domain as it was intended to cut him off from the divine pantheon as well as the physical world. Pike is going through a lot but she is also misremembering what the Everlight told her before she entered hell

Vax's power-up is so good... From getting Purvon's helmet (finally fully and truely standing his ground as her Champion) and what better time then against THE subject of his Oath - undead, to "getting Whisper"... in essence, that "teleportation" when he backstabbed the Gloomstalker had to have been the crew includeing his iconic weapon/ability

I smell a Kung Fu Panda reference in this episode! Has been probably mentioned in The Bard's Lament episode, but the Dark Bard is voiced by Tom Cardy! And yes he is Australian! Very nerdy guy as well as being a comedian and musician. He did a song called Perception Check which is a banger!

"IT'S VERY WELL DONE, BUT I DON'T LIKE IT!!" - Yup, we're in that good angst territory! Been looking forward to your reaction to these episodes, cause I know you get the nuance of it. I kinda love this whole stretch, cause there's nothing like well-motivated PVP and a valid crashout.

Pike actually has 3 vestiges in the last shot. Her plate, Mythcarver, and Grog's gauntlets.

Additionally, when Pike and the others were in Hell, she was given one of the Whispered One's amulets by Zerxus. My guess is that THAT has a lot to do with why the Everlight has not been communicating with Pike. Especially as Zerxus was trying to undermine Pike's faith in the Everlight and was even heard (albeit not when the party could hear him) saying the catch phrase of the Whispered One's followers.

Ellie Williams is by far my all-time favorite Ashley Johnson role. Dark Pike here at the end of this episode is probably the closest another of her characters has come to Ellie, and I am HERE FOR IT

I agree. Being in Hell cut her off from the Everlight while she was there. But ever since she came back, she's been carrying around TWO's holy symbol. Pike wouldn't have realized that's what it was because of the way in which she recieved it, especially since TWO wasn't a deity or even a known cult. But it certainly would intefere with her ability to commune with the Everlight.
