"Knowledge is power."

Is there any phrase more empty? It is the pablum of the rhetorician, it is axiom dressed in the tabard of apprehension. Of course knowledge is power, everything is power. Power is the great uniter, the great medium, the one true force. There is no violence-in-itself, there is only violence-power. There is no death, there is only death-power. There is no love, no lust, no fate, no politic, no function, no calculus, alone! Love-power. Lust-power. Fate-power. Politic-power. Function-power. Calculus-power. Dare I say, even the light of Realis-Itself—must travel through power, must be leveraged by it, if it is to affect the Thousand Moons.

Perhaps, though, there is a lesson of knowledge-power to consider: It is common to hear that pap and think that it is a bidding to learn, so that one may be empowered. Such arrogance. Do you not learn of the blade’s sharpness when you nick your thumb? Do you not learn of the heart’s frailty, when you learn of betrayal? Do you not wish, on the long orbit near the Corpse Sun or sliding across the ravenous Void below, that you could forget what it is you’ve seen?

So know, listener: If you yet tread forward, then step lightly. Lest you learn too much, and be pulled into the fate of another...

I've been holding out for this one, soo excited to listen

ZBL

JDQ freaked it this episode. Give them a vacation.

Kemp

I think the feed might be messed up for me. I can listen to the episode on here, but on the RSS it's just a 5 minute preview. The previous episodes (that I've listened to) have been swapped to be short previews as well. Anyone else seeing this?

Kemp

Tried adding it again, it seems something was rejigged in the back end and my RSS link changed. Podcast app is treating it like a new podcast. Now I need to go through and mark off the episodes I've already listened too 😆

Luce

It's time for the politics of joy

bannedaxolotl

Realis is the most smiling friends-ass friends at the table season and I'm loving it so much

AG

The episode ends prematurely for me :(

kaillan

wild & so fun. and the the production/editing of these last two episodes has been phenomenal.

Ajani Fanclub

I am encountering this as well, unless if the sudden cut is intended??

Olivianna Douglas

I cant tell what's editing mistakes and what's choices

Friends at the Table

If your ep is ending at "let's go over foundation sentences" then it's ending in the right place.

Hazel Benton

For me the ep is ending at "and the sphere we begin the story at today--'"cut off, but idk if that's just me

Friends at the Table

Weird! There is literally one sentence more after that, but that's it! You can listen on the patreon page directly, or you can try to delete and re-download the episode, or delete and re-add the feed!

AG

Mine ends at "many have fled, but to do so-" I've noticed this with other podcasts on here though; doesn't happen every time so idk what the deal is. I'll listen on the page I think!

AG

That worked, thank you :)

fia the fae

I'm so glad I'm finally catching up aaahhh! that intro was so cool! This honestly might be one of my favorite episodes of all FatT!
