Welcome to Media Club Plus: a podcast about diving into the media that interests us and the stories that excite us. This season we're watching a selection of M Night Shyamalan movies.

This episode we watched Glass, and next time we'll be back with Old.

A fairly boring movie about nothing, M Night wastes what potential there is in his "super"powered characters by keeping them separate and alone for the whole movie, going to therapy instead of doing anything. And they don't even do a lot of therapy!

Featuring Keith Carberry (@KeithJCarberry), Sylvi Bullet (@SYLVIBULLET), Ali Acampora (@Ali-online), and Arthur Martinez-Tebbel (@amtebbel)

Produced by Keith Carberry

Music by Jack de Quidt (available at notquitereal.bandcamp.com)

Cover Art by by Annie Johnston-Glick (@dancynrew) anniejg.com

Another superhero movie that would have made a better comic

TrueLily

Most of the time after I finish watching one of these movies, either immediately or the day after, I write up my thoughts on it. Usually it's a few paragraphs, even for the movies I don't like very much. This movie all I managed to write was "what a boring fucking movie."

Begemott

I truly do not believe Shyamalan has ever read a comic book.

Dave

I really loved Unbreakable when it came out, considered it one of the best superhero movies ever made. I still think it's up there. The rest of the "series", eh, not so much.

I know this is the darkest timeline because y'all committed to a Shyamalan season rather than the auteur Neil Breen.
