The rare Tony Soprano long-term-thinking moment. In the latest episode of Media Club Plus, the gang digs in on some gender feelings in episodes 16 & 17 of The Sopranos., the gang digs in on some gender feelings in episodes 16 & 17 of The Sopranos.

This is what reading Victorian social realism is like. Last Friday Jack, Sylvie and Ali returned to Galaxy Princess Zorana, Hanako Games’ sci-fi otome visual novel/RPG. Shoutout to the bevy of assorted suitors and diplomats and miscellaneous weirdies in this game, it’s really something to behold.

Ooooh, toilet valuables! Speaking of streams, on Sunday I streamed a couple hours of REKA 1.0 to celebrate witchy gaming season. Baba Jaga stans, chicken-legged house fans, and anyone who enjoys a charming little babushka scarf can watch the VOD here.

The three kinds of adventurer: Spider-Man, Carl and Anime. One last video game goody: For $10+ patrons, there’s a new episode of our ongoing Outward LP out, in which we move ever closer to finishing up the temperature regulation nightmare that is the Soroborean-based DLC.

Bonus! Penguin mastery. It’s IGF judging season and Austin’s working through some Big Thoughts on one of the buzziest indie games of the year – Penguin Colony. Over on his blog, Clockwork Worlds, you can read a few of them alongside a general update on some of the many irons he’s got in the fire lately. This is where I get to mention that I worked on a movie called The Brooklyn Banker, directed by Federico Castelluccio, who plays Furio Giunta. Since I was just a PA, I ended up doing many tasks at a hectic pace, but there turned out to be a number of Sopranos alums happening by the set. David Proval also had a role in the movie, and made a very kind remark once about "all of us work[ing] in the same big sandbox, so I could work on something you direct someday." It was a very eventful month on location in Brooklyn, and it's made me treasure The Sopranos that much more. I was really happy when this MCP season got announced, because the crew would get to see the work of some complicated but enormously generous folks. Cheers, gang, loved this discussion!
