Podcast Guests & Announcements: January 2020 (Patreon)

New year, new guests -- and we do mean new guests!

First, a recap of what's up next:

• 12/15 - @MinovskyArticle - Casey (aka MinovskyArticle) makes his long-awaited return to discuss One Piece Chapter 965 -- we also take this opportunity to rank the One Piece Openings on this 600th episode of The One Piece Podcast!
• 12/22 - @PaulaGaetos - Paula Gaetos just caught up with the One Piece anime and manga after just starting several months ago. Now she'll be joining us on The One Piece Podcast to talk about her journey and One Piece Chapter 966! We'll also be going through Jump Festa news and the second part of our #OPP600 Opening rankings!
• 12/29 - (BREAK) We're off this week for the holidays!

And here's what January looks like:

• 1/5/2020 - @EyePatchWolf - Super EyePatchWolf a/k/a John Walsh joins us to discuss (maybe) One Piece Chapter 967! This is John's first appearance on the podcast, but he has been a significant figure in the One Piece and Shonen Jump community for some time. He has put together some fantastic videos on his YouTube page delving in depth on the merits of One Piece as well as the general state of Shonen Jump, our favorite The Simpsons, and many more!
• 1/12 - (BREAK) There is no Shonen Jump issue this week and we'll also be taking the week off in a rare event!
• 1/19 - @CrystalynH - Crystalyn Hodkins will be joining us for her first appearance on our show! We met Crystalyn way back in 2010, and since then she has risen from an intern at Anime News Network to their Managing Editor. She currently resides in Japan, so we'll be talking with her all about her history with One Piece and go through the latest chapter, (maybe) One Piece Chapter 968!
• 1/26 - @GrandLineReview - GrandLineReview a/k/a Liam makes his first appearance on our show as well! Liam does what we do, talks about One Piece on his YouTube channel -- and even better, he follows the official release! We will be talking about (maybe) One Piece Chapter 969!

ANNOUNCEMENTS:

• Arcs of Consequence 2020: Back in 2015,  we at The One Piece Podcast spent over six hours ranking every single One Piece story arc. In 2020, we're doing it again -- with some added twists! We are going to be timing our next ranking with the end of GrantTheThief's readthrough of One Piece so he can join us! In lieu of a Readthrough, we also plan on having individual segments dedicated to our favorite moments of each story arc with each episode leading up to the release of the Arcs of Consequnce in May or June 2020.
• OPP Zine: This is something we have been planning on putting together for some time -- but we hope to have it ready for you all in early 2020! The crew of The One Piece Podcast will be putting together a fanzine including all of our episode image art, original art, essays and much more!

As we enter 2020, we are looking to bring on guests that have never been on our show. If you have any suggestions or ideas of people you'd like to hear from, let us know!

Remember: all dates, all guests, and all chapters are subject to change based on availability and Shonen Jump/Oda's whims!
