Podcast Guests & Announcements: January & February 2020 (Patreon)

New year, new guests -- and we do mean new guests!

Here's January looks like:

• 1/5/2020 - @MrMattJay - Matthew Jay will be joining us for his first appearance on The One Piece Podcast. Matt co-hosts the Adult Swim podcast The Deep End with our co-host Steve Yurko. He's also the podcast producer for Channel 101 and has his own Patreon pages for Cartoons 101 and The Deep End!
• 1/12 - PATREON PREVIEW - We're off this week, so we'll be previewing some content from Patreon on the free feed!
• 1/19 - @CrystalynH - Crystalyn Hodgkins will be joining us for her first appearance on our show! We met Crystalyn way back in 2010, and since then she has risen from an intern at Anime News Network to their Managing Editor. She currently resides in Japan, so we'll be talking with her all about her history with One Piece and go through the latest chapter!
• 1/26 - @GrandLineReview - GrandLineReview a/k/a Liam makes his first appearance on our show as well! Liam does what we do, talks about One Piece on his YouTube channel -- and even better, he follows the official release!

And here's what February looks like:

• 2/2 - @EyePatchWolf - Super EyePatchWolf a/k/a John Walsh joins us to discuss the latest One Piece chapter! This is John's first appearance on the podcast, but he has been a significant figure in the One Piece and Shonen Jump community for some time. He has put together some fantastic videos on his YouTube page delving in depth on the merits of One Piece as well as the general state of Shonen Jump, our favorite The Simpsons, and many more!
• 2/9 - @henry_thurlow - We are pleased to announce that we will have Henry Thurlow, animator on One Piece, back on to talk about the latest anime episode and manga chapter! Henry has also worked on SuperJail, JoJo's Bizarre Adventure: Golden Wind, Naruto Shippuden, Tokyo Ghoul and much more!
• 2/16 - #KujaCast2 - Back by popular demand: we change up our usual cast again with hosts @keruri & @piratessunluck and guests @othatsraspberry @choppersantlers @sniperofmyheart and @JoOnBulba!
• 2/23 - @DanDock - He's back again, we have Dan Dockery from Crunchyroll and Cracked joining us to delve into the latest One Piece chapter!

ANNOUNCEMENTS:

• Arcs of Consequence 2020: Back in 2015,  we at The One Piece Podcast spent over six hours ranking every single One Piece story arc. In 2020, we're doing it again -- with some added twists! We are going to be timing our next ranking with the end of GrantTheThief's readthrough of One Piece so he can join us! In lieu of a Readthrough, we also plan on having individual segments dedicated to our favorite moments of each story arc with each episode leading up to the release of the Arcs of Consequnce in May or June 2020.
• OPP Zine: This is something we have been planning on putting together for some time -- but we hope to have it ready for you all in early 2020! The crew of The One Piece Podcast will be putting together a fanzine including all of our episode image art, original art, essays and much more!

As we enter 2020, we are looking to bring on guests that have never been on our show. If you have any suggestions or ideas of people you'd like to hear from, let us know!

Remember: all dates, all guests, and all chapters are subject to change based on availability and Shonen Jump/Oda's whims!
