So, after a bit of advice and some thinking, I decided to go with a scheduled release of chapters. This way, everybody knows when the next chapter will be coming out, instead of having to check in every day or be on alert for notifications.

The schedule will be: One chapter every Monday, Wednesday, and Friday.

Three chapters per week.

However, I'm going to write MORE than three chapters per week, which means I'll be getting a bit ahead of the Patreon releases. The reason for this is because writing ahead gives me a better perspective of the novel as a whole as it develops, meaning that when I do my revision on a chapter before releasing it, I can improve it further because I have a clearer vision.

Also, once I get far enough ahead, I'm going to start releasing a chapter on Sundays, bringing the total to four chapters a week. I think that's a realistic goal, since most chapters are between 3k and 5k words, meaning I'll be posting between 12k and 20k words per week.

That's the gameplan for now. If there are any changes, I'll let everyone know right away.

I was subbed to an author who released a lot of chapters in a short time. I enjoyed it very much when I got to read their posts. But then they promised to release the rest of the book he was writing at the time by the end of that week, but didn't. It's been 2 months and he still hasn't released them.

Sounds good. If you do get ahead, I'm a big fan of weekend chapters. A lot of authors don't post on the weekend, and I get it we all need a break, but it's nice when they pop up since so few do.

I'm definitely going to post on weekends after I get ahead. Three chapters a week just isn't enough honestly. I plan to finish Volume 5 by the end of February, and if it's 120k words like Volume 4, then I'll need to write 14,500 words per week, which is roughly 4 chapters worth of words. So, as you can see, I'll need to write 4 chapters a week, and once I get ahead, I'll be able to post 4/week as well without eating into my backlog.
