Enjoying the read so far! Me and a friend are digging into it at the same time, but I have a longer commute, so I think I've got the edge. Left a review on Amazon for the previous book too.

Thomas Shaw

Found a typo. I think it’s supposed to be Joe instead of Havoc “struck Havoc directly on the left pinky toe. “Gah—hey! What was that for?”

I think this is the best book of the series so far. Absolutely amazing read. From Joe doing more combat, to all the skills and progression, as well as Grandmasters at work. Just great. Also, just more Jake being mysterious. Vanaheim seems odd.

Michael Corey

Just finished that was great and of course I can't wait to read the next chapter

Anyone else slightly concerned that Joe increasingly seems to fit the exact description of Xenocide in DD? (A bald ritualist, without peer, obsessed with increasing himself despite the cost to everyone else, crotch-thrusting his way around in robes) I'm sure the timeline could be changed eventually, maybe by some sort of grand ritual

Ooohhh good catch! Like the whole Dale is Cal thing would be a giant foreshadow! We know Xeno mastered chaos (celestial and infernal) and Joe started with light and dark affinities. Hmm in the first book Tim did tell Joe that if he completes the game there's a chance he could get out too.
