This is a nice pick for Black History Month, but its not my pick personally for a black film. Its a film about some brilliant black women who worked for NASA. Which is a wonderful story, just not on my list of suggestions. I really hope we get some true classic black films in this super short month. Here are a few that give you a glance into our history and culture. Some of these are heavy, so I have noted the ones that I feel are not quite as heavy as the others. Malcolm X Fences If Beale Street Could Talk 42 Whats Love Got to do With It Eves Bayou Ray* The Great Debaters* Antwone Fisher Harlem Nights* The Five Heartbeats* The Hate You Give Cooley High* In my opinion black films are for AND from our community. We appreciate the time you are putting into screening our films for us, I love the reactions!! I just wanted to drop in my two cents for some additional awesome suggestions!! 😘

When I was a kid duck and cover drills were alive and well, and I brought up the same thing, how is this going to protect us from a bomb. And as it was explained to me and it makes sense, is it's pretty much like Earthquake drills. It's not to protect us from a direct hit but one that was close enough to shake the building enough to protect us from falling debris from the ceiling.

Thank you both. I hadn't watched so this group hang was nice.
