The reason Tommy Lee Jones isn't interested in investigating the crime is that marshals don't do that (at least at the state level). What they are involved in (and the reason they are called in in this movie) is prisoner transfers and escapes. Most states have some kind of statute that allows marshals to assist in fugitive recovery.

Also, the reason that Harrison Ford knows when the arm was last adjusted is because he knows that he wrenched it out of the socket when hefought the one armed man, so he must have had an adjustment shortly afterwards.

This was so fun to watch with y'all . I hadn't seen this movie in YEARS so it was like watching for the first time. Great reaction!!

Tommy Lee Jones won Best Supporting Actor for The Fugitive.

Gotta react to The Fugitive’s sequel, U.S. Marshalls. Stars Tommy Lee Jones back as Sam Gerard, Wesley Snipes, and Robert Downey, Jr.
