Yeah, I didn't remember any of that - which is unusual for me, I almost never forget movies, but I know I watched it on release. It's not *bad* but it's definitely not as good as the first one. They're both very "it is very obvious what is happening and the characters should have figured it out by now" - even though I really like the first movie, it's not necessarily something I usually gel with - I usually like characters to be completely in the dark and me in the audience to be in the dark with them. The first movie, in the style I usually like more, they wouldn't have shown Jai Courtney at the start and they wouldn't have shown the meetings between the bad guys in the background so we're completely read in even if Reacher isn't. I'd still put the first one on my top 100 though, I'm retrospectively saying that's unusual for me. This one has its moments, but they're in completely different leagues - and it feels more rushed too maybe?

Got to have Michael and Kristen checkout the TV Series, Reacher. It’s more a true adaptation to the book and Alan Ritchson portrays Jack Reacher perfectly. Reacher is supposed to be 6’5’’ and 220 lbs. Tom is definitely not that. Alan Ritchson is closer to that description. Also Reacher is supposed to be more like Sherlock meets Rambo. Tom just plays him like he is a detective version of Maverick from Top Gun. Alan gets that true sense of the character down in his performance. Highly recommend watching the TV Series of Reacher after this to get the best experience of that character.
