I am considering doing  a video on this, but I want to share it with you gals and guys first.  So... as someone who has to consume a lot of content, I long craved a way to do it faster.  I mean, if I could watch two shows or two movies at once and retain the information, I would.

I hopelessly tweeted at Netflix requesting a play speed button but we all know that was pointless.  HOWEVER!  I finally found a tool that allows me to watch Netflix and pretty much any video faster as long as I use Chrome.  It's called "Video Speed Controller."  I have been using it for a few days so far and really like it.

Bear in mind a few things.  I am using this on Mac and don't know if there are any virus threats for PC and I have only been using it a few days.  But so far, I really like it.  I can consume my Marvel shows and Indian movies on Netflix faster now!  This genuinely put a smile on my face when I realized it worked.  I bet Android has a similar feature which ALMOST makes me consider converting.

I actually like it better than YouTube's built in tool for play speed because I can make it a notch faster with more nuanced play speed options available.  My preferred speed is x1.6 or x1.7.  Beyond that, the dialogue becomes quite nearly unintelligible.  I also make sure to keep the subtitles on just in case.

If you've never done it, watching things faster takes getting used to... BUT MAN does it save you so much time.  If my math serves me right, every hour I watch at x1.6 I can do in 37.5 minutes.  That's around 41% difference.

Great! Is there any other problem that stops you from being more efficient and you haven't found a solution for it yet?

That's awesome Jaby! Glad that it's helping you that way.

Wow... interesting but this strikes me as very weird lol. I fast forward only films I can't really get into, because I don't like to stop watching in the middle. I would *nerver* watch faster my favourite shows as I think 42 minutes for an episode just go by too quick ^_^
