This so noooo shade because I love Cinepals!! Keep the discussions going please! I love all the reactions! lol But hearing Jaby's commentary after all of these black movies really makes me understand why black movies and shows don't get nominated for awards.....white people just don't get it sometimes and makes it sooo much deeper than what it is or not understanding where the references are coming from because they are so intrenched in black cultural things that they just don't know about. And the fact that any black anything is always going to have a lower budget and working around those constants as well. Like Jaby could not get THEY CLONED TYRONE out of his mind therefore he didn't really enjoy the movie lmao...I mean I think they were going for a more SCARY MOVIE vibe than anything. This whole channel has just really opened my eyes on how other people view and watch black media and art. I say all that to say I just appreciate y'all for continuing the journey and the dialogue and the discourse.

I really enjoyed this reaction. One note for the discussion is in the game room they were deciding who was the blackest, not the least blackest. This is important to understand bc while they did exploit how the perception of what it means to be black can be measured differently based on the context, it’s equally important to note that in the end they chose who they deemed the least blackest, Clifton. This is a social commentary bc some of the measures of blackness they used for each other have been internalized based on the white gaze. But the straw that broke the camels back is Clifton voting for policies that consistently demean the black American community. While there are issues in the community, the majority can agree that some stuff we can’t bend on.

I'm a bit sad that you didn't absolutely love this. I'm starting to feel like the only one who can't get enough. In fairness I attended an HBCU and was in spade tournaments and used eye talks to win. Plus they assumed 2 girls for Anchorage couldn't possible know how to play spades. It may have just resonated personally, great job though
