Apparently Will Smith didn’t have a good reaction to the shooting episode. He thought that episode marked the beginning of the downfall of the show in his mind. So he told everybody season 6 would be the last as he went onto movies. Most viewers like myself liked the dramatic acting of that episode

Ashley going to that party was a really big deal. But also, "Made In America" Starring Whoopi GOldberg and featuring Will and Nia Long is a good selection.

I didn't know that. I thought that performance by Will and Alfonso was incredible. Must've been a big time critic.

I typically didn't mind the new Aunt Viv, but I really wish the original Aunt Viv was there for the Ashley episode. She would've killed it. The new Aunt Viv did okay but they really didn't give her much because I don't think they thought she could pull off a dramatic scene like that.

As it relates to episode 17 at counseling. This is why suggest season 1 of "Good Times", "All in The Family", The Jefferson", "Sanford and Son". Because they Jaby and Michael missed it when Weezie and George Jefferson walked in the room.
