Hey Cinepals! PLEASE READ BEFORE SEASON 6!! In case you don't know, A Different World was technically canceled halfway through the last season. The network felt that Debbie Allen and the writers were 'too controversial' during the last few seasons and pulled the plug before the show finished it's final season. Thankfully, Debbie Allen and the writers had a heads up and were able to film the finale episodes before it was canceled. Because of this, the finale episodes (episodes 17-18) were aired before the last few episodes were released in syndication. Basically, you guys should watch episodes 19-25 after episode 16 and watch episodes 17-18 last (after episode 25) I just want you guys to have a proper ending and hope this makes sense.

Wish they would have gone into more details about freed men owning slaves. A lot of wealthy freed men would buy slaves to become their master because only a master could free a slave. Lina only told her us he owned a hundred slaves, we dont know what he did once he had them. He could have set them all free, we will never know as they didnt go into details. Its a coin flip but id like to think whitley's ancestor bought slaves to free them

The thing with dean cain is context: you guys are claiming him when he never claimed yall. He never knew his japanese father. He was raised by his white mother and white stepfather in white malibu and lives life as a white man. Ethnically half japanese but culturally white american. I treat everyone like they are trans: if you say you are x, i respect that and act accordingly. Dean has always been a white man to me causd that is who he wants to be, who am i to take that away from him? I would be a jerk if i told a trans woman she wasnt a want. I dont believe in hypocrisy but equality and whats good for the goose is good for the gander

I get that you like ron and these are "the bad guys" but context: no one is bad here, they are all people and people are flawed so ron wasnt an innocent victim. They BOTH said racist things and ron antagonized them with the whole "blacks are superior" bs. All he had to do was take the money and shut up and if they did something after that THEN he would be an innocent victim. What if someone said that an all asian team or to your asian girlfriend "get with a black man if you want to know what its like to be with a real man. Asian men cant compete with black men" its all stupid and silly. I love the cop character. Like me he is unbiased third party holding everyone accountability for their actions and fighting for change. He could have just charged them but no, lets meet every week and work through our differences. Beautiful 🙌🙌 best character in the ep. And he is from Saved by the Bell so holds a special place in my heart

Team jamal, he did nothing wrong, they all were jerks. And he didnt lead whitley on: he likes her and wants to be her. Leading someone on means you have no interest in them romantically and pretend to; thats not jamal at all
