This is amazing to see! Thank you for reacting to this! We spent 9 months in New Mexico on this film. Scheduled to begin principal photography on March 16, 2020...but the world shutdown the Friday before. In fact, Idris Elba was one of the first actors to publicly announce he had Covid. He posted that while with us in Santa Fe. We resumed shooting in August, and wrapped in December. Great times, despite the rise of Covid.

The way I just gasped! I watched this one six times.

Even though this is a fictional story, the character Delroy Lindo portrays, Bass Reaves, is a real life person. Actually, Bass Reaves is the real life lawman that inspired The Lone Ranger. If you want to watch the real story of Bass Reaves, checkout the miniseries Lawmen: Bass Reaves. Great cast too: David Oyelowo (got a golden globe nomination for his portrayal as Bass Reaves), Barry Pepper, Dennis Quaid, and Donald Sutherland in one of his last performances. The show is also produced by both David Oyelowo and Taylor Sheridan. You can also stream it on either Paramount + or Netflix it is on both.

This is one of my favorite Western cowboy movies.

If you want to see Johnathan Majors in another western checkout Hostiles. This one has an all-star cast as well: Christian Bale, Rosamund Pike, Wes Studi, Ben Foster, Johnathan Majors, Jesse Plemons, Timothee Chalamet, Adam Beach, and Stephen Lang.

Also, another great fun western to checkout is Silverado. It is written and directed by the co-writer of Raiders of the Lost Ark and Empire Strikes Back. Also, great cast: Kevin Kline, Scott Glenn, Danny Glover, Kevin Costner, Brian Dennehy, Linda Hunt, Lynn Whitfield, Rosanna Arquette, Jeff Goldblum, Joe Seneca, and John Cleese.

Magazine Dreams is his best film so far. Amazing work

Fear of Reactions

Please watch Lovecraft Country with Jaby, Michael, and Achara. I know Jaby had wanted to see it and I love the others commentary. The cast was amazing in this as well.

A nice lil tidbit Jeymes added in here is, the first time we see Jonathan Majors and Idris Elba share the same frame is the end reveal.

MAX

Tearing up when an antagonist falls demonstrates just how FANTASTIC this film is. The ladies caught ALL the vibes! ✨👌🏾 - And yes, to the list of people saying “Lovecraft Country” needs to be HIGH on the List.
