The main horror film they made fun of with this Scary Movie 2 was The Haunting (1999). It actually stars Lili Taylor, Catherine Zeta-Jones, Owen Wilson, Virginia Madsen, Liam Neeson, and Bruce Dern. It was also was directed by the director of Speed and Twister.

The actor you're thinking about from That 70s Show is Danny Masterson. The guy in Scary Movie 2 who plays Buddy is his brother Christopher Masterson.

"Buddy", Christopher Masterson is the brother of Danny Masterson from That 70s Show. Christopher is from Malcolm In The Middle and did not commit any heinous crimes. His brother Danny was convicted in 2023. - Christopher's lawyer.

I posted the same thing. I should've read yours first.

Great series. Another one yall would probably enjoy is the Ocean's trilogy. This is the 25th anniversary of the 2001 version 😁

Definitely a better plot, but it was very 1 for 1 of The Haunting, and I think that's why this one feels so well done. I think 13 Ghosts also came out this same year, but not sure if there were any references.
