I want to preface what I am going to say in that I am not a fan of what Walt becomes, but the title is called Breaking Bad and Walt is the embodiment of the title. I clearly think he started out with the intention of leaving money for the family, but got addicted to the thrill of the game. So yes, it’s right to dislike Walt. Now, I also think Skyler is not blameless. Yes she’s trapped right now, but she made her bed by not listening to the lawyer who told her to turn Walt in. She put herself in this situation by refusing the advice of Saul and gave Ted all that money (the escape money) behind Walt’s back. She’s also a key variable in what lead Walt to go on the path to begin with. Yes, Walt made the decision to start cooking and that’s on him; however, the way their marriage was portrayed at the start of the series is one where Skyler was overbearing to the point where Walt came across as weak and helpless (probably felt it to). I mean Walt Jr went to Hank over him. They clearly needed some counseling. This is why I don’t feel bad for Skyler.
