Lol I love this movie. DAN AYKROYD is so cool.

If I’m not mistaken, Carrie Fisher was dating John Belushi at the time.

Another great reaction to this classic movie from your channel. Always a great time. I can watch this fun ride once a month and never get bored. If yall do it a third time, could you check the Unrated version 😁 I'm also hoping yall give the sequel a run. Another fun ride 😁 Another fun musical you'd probably get a kick out of is The Rocky Horror Picture Show.

Some More Movie Suggestions for the Channel would be: - ANNA - A Beautiful Mind - Bicentennial Man - Breathe - Dark Waters - Devil's Advocate - Hitchcock - Psycho ( 1960 ) - Law Abiding Citizen - Leap Year - A Man Called Otto - Meet Joe Black - Mr. Holland's Opus - Music & Lyrics - Peppermint - Patch Adams - Push ( 2009 ) - Regarding Henry - What Dreams May Come Sorry they just happen to be in ABC order LOL 😎

John W Foster

It's funny that you mention Spielberg - that's him cameo'ing as the Assessor who stamps the receipt.

On another note, the mall was actually a real mall - it closed in 78. They built it out with the storefronts (apparently it was cheaper than building a set).

What in the Netflix is this cut? They took half the movie out >.>

There is a sequel to this film, Blues Brothers 2000. Stars Dan Aykroyd, John Goodman, and Joe Morton. Not nearly as good as the first but still fun and still get great musical performances and great cameos.

If you to react to another musical comedy, I highly recommend That Thing You Do! It is a film that is directed, written, produced, and acted in by Tom Hanks. Tom also co-wrote some of the songs in the film as well. The fictional band is played by Tom Everett Scott, Johnathon Scheach, Steve Zahn, and Ethan Embry. They all do their own singing, guitar playing, and drumming in the film. The other stars in the film are Tom Hanks, Liv Tyler, Charlize Theron (her first credited role in a film), and Giovanni Ribisi.

Also, you want a fictional band film that is a little more serious, I recommend Eddie and the Cruisers. It is a mix of a fictional band film and a mystery thriller. Also, amazing soundtrack. Also, stars Tom Berenger, Michael Pare, and Joe Pantoliano.

Also, if you want to see one of the most underrated showdowns in film history, I highly recommend Crossroads (1986). About a Juilliard classical guitarist whose real passion is blues music gets the chance to travel around and perform with an old veteran blues player. Stars Ralph Macchio and Joe Seneca.

Michael makes a Steven Spielberg reference/joke seconds before they show Steven Spielberg do a cameo as the clerk that stamped the taxes at the end and nobody noticed him.

I believe this movie had the record for most "crashed cars" in a film. The budget was like 25 million. Ackroyd said that part of that budget was set aside for cocaine. And that on set they had their own "bar" and the bartenders were also the coke dealers. Fischer was dating Ackroyd at the time and was told to help keep Belushi away from the drug but she herself was having cocaine problems, so they had to hire someone to come in and try to keep them away from drugs while filming.

You guys should check out Almost Famous. It's a fantastic band movie

Another recommendation for the channel - Harlem Nights!

So Michael saw this movie, you can tell as well as him calling him Elwood before you even know his name in the movie.

Some of the flips may have been a stunt double in the movie but the Blues Brothers did tour back in the late 70s and John Belushi did do flips from the start of the aisle to the stage when I saw them in concert at the University of Houston.
