Jaby mentioned that this sequel felt like the difference between Alien and Aliens. Part of that is the co-writer of this Rambo film is James Cameron who directed and wrote Aliens.

Filmed in Mexico. Julia Nickson Stallones Counterpart you said her accent isn't real, I don't know she's half Chinese and grew up in Singapore. You two should also react to some more POW Vietnam films. Missing in Actions (Chuck Norris) and Rescue Dawn ( Christian Bale, Steven Zahn, Jeremy Davies).

Something I noticed in Achara's watchalong: Lt. Podovski is played by Steven Berkoff. One year before this movie, Berkoff played Victor Maitland in Beverly Hill Cop. Sly Stallone was originally cast as Axel Foley before turning down the role that would eventually go to Eddie Murphy.

@Jaby: What the Colonel was reacting to was Rambo going HAM, shooting up the computers and everything. Rambo was rescuing POW's...that was about THEM and their sacrifice, and them being left behind (presumably) by their Country. That's what I believe the Colonel was talking about. Which is why Rambo said the line about wanting his Country to love him the way he loves it.
