I hated both the parents so much. Kevin seems really sweet though and I read that he had to step out during the scene of Kerry greeting his brothers in the end because it was a dream he had that he didn't think they knew about. Ugh! Incredibly sad but he's surrounded by a lot of love now.

I love this film. This is definitely Zac Efron’s best performance to date. I thought he got robbed of an Oscar nomination for this performance. By the way, the real life story is actually more tragic. There were actually six brothers altogether and five out of the six brothers died. They left one brother out because they thought it would be too tragic if they had one more death in the film and the audiences wouldn’t be able to take it.

If you want to see another really good Sports film, I highly recommend Hoosiers (1986). It is considered one of the best sports films of all time. It also has a great cast: Gene Hackman, Dennis Hopper (this role in Hoosiers is Dennis Hopper only Oscar nominated performance of his career), and Barbara Hershey. This film also showing how much the sport of basketball is part of the state of Indiana’s culture and still is. Also, you can currently stream this on Amazon. This year is also the 40th anniversary of the film as well.

I remember the mom from Liar Liar! And Jim Carrey had a Claw gimmick, also he was meant to take his son to a wrestling match, making me think that Carrey's Claw was a version of the Von Erich's finisher!
