Surprised you guys didn't mention it's a new Darnell. But I agree with Achara, I think it's a case of he's been with her for 10 years at this point, so there does come a point where you lose that fire and the person may still be "hot" but the saying goes "Show me an attractive woman and I'll show you a man that's tired of F'in her"

As someone who likes his men smooth: i get darnell. We desire and are attracted to what we like. After we broke up, my ex cut his hair. He went from long luscious locks, to a 70s army sharp cut. All attraction went away 🤷‍♂️. It is what it is. I accept my neuroses and particularities.

I could be totally wrong but i don't think anything roni does is intentionally malicious so its not manipulative. She is just being her nstural self and that is self centered and self interested. She omis number one. There is no saying no to her or focusing on other people. Its all about her. So when she tells joan "we don't need a therapist" its controlling not manipulative. In her sociopathic mind "if ive let it go, you should let it go. If im cool, then you should be cool". Goes back to that fight at the club last season. "Im insulted by what she said, so you should be too. And im fighting so you have to fight roo". Toni cannot see outside of herself at all. Thats my take of the character
