If you want to see Gary Busey’s best performance of his career, checkout The Buddy Holly Story. He portrays the 1950’s rock and roll legend, Buddy Holly, in this biopic. Gary gives a complete transformative performance in this film and he does his own singing and guitar playing. Also, all of the performances were recorded live, as well. Gary was also nominated for Best Actor in a Leading Role at the Academy Awards in 1979 for his performance as Buddy Holly.

Also, Bill Paxton was not just a talented actor but a talented director as well. I highly recommend watching his golfing film that he directed The Greatest Game Ever Played. Stars Shia Lebeouf, Stephen Dillane, and Elias Koteas. This is one of the most stylized directed and film-edited golf films ever brought to the screen. The stylized directing and editing really brings out a lot of excitement in the film for a sport that is not known for being as exciting as most.
