KABIRA Music Video Reaction

Thank you for the reaction I was waiting for this ever since you did the Holi song from the same movie

Veeru

This is more of a listening song than a reaction song. Visually not much is happening for a reaction. I'll suggest Matargashti with Ranbir and Deepika again which would be great for a reaction similar to Badtameez Dil

Well, just being observant, Jaby's made a small boo-boo in the end in terms of his instagram details etc. Its probably a copy-paste error!

So cheesy music video. Typical bollywood crying. Which did not made me cry. oh I am crying now my girl is flying out tommrow. blah. Use you plane ticket visit your man. That what i can advise.

brother no use. He is scared of south indian trailer & music video. They are going to burn down his channel. Sorry I am talking padmavat.

I love the Reaction. Jaby, you almost got the story of the movie right from the song. I am from south India, it doesn't matter to me you are reacting to Bollywood or south Indian movies. We like you because you Work hard and You give us good content. Keep going

Great reaction Jaby ! This is a lyric based song , the language is Urdu unarguably the sweetest most exoticaly meaningful languages alongside Arabic and Persian , with no disrespect to the translation it was genuinely a good effort but no matter how hard you try, to get the gist of a single word in Urdu would probably require an essay in English if not a book and I am not exaggerating..one of my favorite songs so enjoyed it .. Thanks and Peace..

The melody is Sufistic but the lyrics are mostly in rustic hindi not urdu

So the subtitles left out the words Kabira and Fakira untranslated, which maybe hinders the interpretation a bit. Kabira means great or magnificent, and Fakira means a beggar or someone who lives off peoples alms. So, the protagonist is being referred to by the singer as 'O Kabira....' and 'O Fakira....', which is a dichotomy. When you follow your passion so to speak, leaving loved ones behind, ... are you great or are you someone who has nothing.

Thanks for the Inputs Veeru..Urdu is a Persianised standard register of the Hindustani language. Apart from specialized vocabulary, Urdu is mutually intelligible with Standard Hindi, another recognized register of Hindustani. Urdu, like Hindi, is a form of Hindustani.

Around 75% of Urdu words have their etymological roots in Sanskrit and Prakrit, and approximately 99% of Urdu verbs have their roots in Sanskrit and Prakrit. Because Persian-speaking sultans ruled the Indian subcontinent for a number of years, Urdu was influenced by Persian and to a lesser extent, Arabic, which have contributed to about 25% of Urdu's vocabulary.
