Rupak Vp

This was the movie which inspired millions of Sout Indians shift to USA also check Columbus Columbus song jaby from the same movie .The song is in LAto USA

Aarthi

Thaiya thaiya in Tamil. Chaiya chaiya in hindi

Rupak Vp

Shankar movie is always a glamour like I,Jean's,Anniyan

Lock_Down

They actually did it. in another song they go to all the 7 wonders of the world at that time.

Rupak Vp

I asked my parents when I watched this movie saying that I wana go to USA.They informed me to study, work hard and I believe this would have been said to all children from thier parents when this movie was released. Now I am here in USA lol

Ivy

Thanks for reacting jaby😅now it's the time to react to another fun song from this movie-kannuodu kaanbadhalam from the same movie jeans.in this song, you will see Aishwarya Rai in two roles!!!react to it😊

Rejitha

Half of the plot takes place in the US. And this was before all the security protocols kicked in..So maybe it was easier to get permits back then? Don't know. As a kid, I just got swept up by the beauty of both Aishwarya and the locations...These songs bring back the good old nostalgia...

Shean Roldhan

lol it is promoting indian to move to usa. It like look engineers, scientists, it's and doctors. You can come to usa and enjoy your life like this.

Pratheek Moraahli

Man this director Shankar fooled me so good. when was a kid. I thought dinosaur exists in u.s.a. After watching Jurassic park and this movie. I really asked my parents to take me their. When I was teen. I realized this movie is. soo goofy, cheesy and horriable it was.

Shean Roldhan

I felt like this is free promotion for major u.s.a tourist destination. If you shoot the good the stuff. You will get discounted price or shoot the location for free from the city. Along as Indians come to usa. Indian films dont blow their budget. We are good at negotiating.

There is a song in the same movie where they visit the seven wonders (of their time)

Shiva Prasad

Watch song Poovukkul from the same movie which covers all the seven wonders (of their time). Jeans was directed by Shanker (I, Robo fame)

MJ Lakshmi Narayanan

Is it so hard to believe Indian movies don't have the money to shoot on location? Shankar literally shot the 7 wonders of the world for one song in the same movie. They can manage NY and LA since the half the movie was shot in US

No. It’s not hard to believe but it’s a lot. And just looking how background was behaving in some shots, it looked like it was maybe guerilla style shooting. It’s just fascinating and impressive from a filmmaking perspective.

The person who directed dil se is Mani Ratnam. Mani ratnam directs only tamil films. If he were to a hindi film . He make sure their is tamil verizon available. Thaiya thaiya is tamil version of hindi Chaiya Chaiya. Back in the day 90's and 2000's. A.R. Rahman does tamil songs first then translate them to hindi. He does not know hindi.

In 1990s and 2000s more movies in Indian cinema was shot in USA and it is only now movie makers shifted to Europe but even in 80s and 70s many movie were shot in USA as well

Vijai

You should see the other song from the same movie (poovukul olinthu irukum). It's not just one location, it's just from all around the world in 6 minutes. Do enjoy that!!!!

Pls react to AJUBA song from same movie wherein they have shown 7 wonders of the world ❤️❤️❤️

Mahesh Devagiri

I think it's definitely not a reference to SRK's film coz Dilse was released in August '98 where as Jeans was released in April '98.

Pema Sherpa

Hey jaby can you please do a reaction on BTS “life goes on”

kali

Actually they didn't go to US for the song. The first half of the movie was set in New York

Aria Isara

I just watched a really fun Tamil romcom with Kajol, Prabhudeva and Arvind Swamy! Music is by AR Rahman. There is a song in it called Strawberry Kannae, it's super fun and you should react to it but you should really get someone to add subs for you because the lyrics are hilarious!! 😁 https://youtu.be/QSHH878uoII

Leander Jones

You should've listened along with the lyrics...
