The UAE stuff is absolutely fascinating. I really know nothing about the whole emirates apart from the fact that they are revolting hives of criminality and slavery/gold etc etc.

John

Was this originally recorded *after* the attacks on UAE by israel and u never spoke about it ?

In another case or mark my words: The new National Security Strategy is to turn Europe into another Israel. Right-wing. Semi-independent. Able to pick battles the U.S. can’t officially pick but will arm and facilitate with intel and logistics since the U.S. is the only country with global or even regional force projection. And it gives white Europeans the opportunity to bomb their own bantustans like Israel does with the strip and bank with legal impunity.

Mark Ames

You're mistaking Qatar for the UAE, two very different countries, as in they-hate-each-other countries.

John

Ah sorry my bad.

John

No way will the US pay for europes healthcare. Its way to big. The US will decline in importance in europe imo. No way are germany & france going to continue buying US equipment when they manufacture them at home.

Europe is just lucky Chinese people hate cheese because that's all they'll be making in 50 years. 500 years ago it was an irrelevant backwater of warring savages, and that's exactly where it will be once this (first) century of humiliation ends. Even if the Russo-Ukraine war ends tomorrow and everything resets to January 2022, it will take years for European infrastructure and power to return to pre-war levels. Meanwhile, China and the global south will have the ten year headstart they're already using to turn Europe into Asia's factory for niche tech. In the same way that Israel only produces spyware, Europe can be expected to be a niche manufacturer of second-rate Chinese-designed EVs using tech transfers that circumvent the U.S. de facto ban. My point is that it will be Israel insofar as being the U.S.'s permanent aircraft carrier in the Eurasian/Polar region to pick fights with Russia and eventually to pick off stragglers like Moldova and Belarus. Russians are too foolishly enamored with Europe to actually nuke it, but the British will only cease playing The Great Game when the sun dies out and they will harass and assassinate and sabotage their way across the steppe the same as Israel has run amok in Iran. But if we want to discuss subsidies, Europe got an 80-year advance. Just to pay for the LNG, the U.S. and EU have virtually guaranteed that Americans will no longer be the only suckers working in August and the people of Europe will eat shit just like they have for the last 20 years. And I'm pretty confident in my appraisal based on my comments about a lot of noise actually being spiking the football six months ago compared to "The Walls Are Closing In on Israel/Zionists" Ames. As even the genuinely antisemitic right-wingers on Twitter are realizing, American support will be as strong as it is now 50 years from now. I remember the same "this generation will be different" noise 25 years ago. Money talks and Americans only give a fuck about foreigners when told to. We wouldn't be closing the gates without leaving the dumbest, most obedient attack dogs we have on guard.

Andreas' forthcoming book sounds important.
