Hey Mark, I haven't heard much about the Russian contractor company at all on the right side of the webosphere. Who was saying that Wagner was named that because of hitler?

Around ~1:41:00 - re: C14 Nazi group -I'd imagine the 14 is a reference to the 14 words which is a white supremacist slogan

Also as someone who spent his teen years sort of surrounded by all this, it's always weird to hear people who aren't from NI talk about NI. John also has an excellent point about the whole "not being in the terrorism business after 9/11" which I think did in fact play out in Northern Ireland. Prior to the WTC attacks starting in the summer of 2001, there was the Holy Cross "dispute" where scumbags were picketing spitting and throwing various things on Catholic schoolgirls in the Ardoyne in North Belfast (<a href="https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Holy_Cross_dispute" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Holy_Cross_dispute</a> for the broad strokes) to the point that the security services had to get involved. Then 9/11 happened and, although Holy Cross dragged on a little further, I distinctly remember all media attention completely being drained from Holy Cross at the time and even the lunkheads involved at this point in history managed to realize that being labeled a terrorist was no longer something to proud of going forward. At the time the notion of picking on a bunch of pre-teen girls felt like some sort last desperate and utterly pathetic grasp for relevance by the loyalists, and then 9/11 happened.

@BG Have a look at the flags used by Assad and the opposition. Sometimes the stuff you find on the internet isn't the product of a GREAT BIG MEDIA CONSPIRACY.

A note in relation to the timing of the 1994 IRA ceasefire - it was obviously intended as a favour to the government of Albert Reynolds in the South, because it was announced the day before the Beef Tribunal Report was to be debated in the Dáil.

I think there was a book mentioned in this episode, but I can't seem to find the timestamp again. It was a novel about a 17 year old Irish kid who travels to England to plant a bomb, but is detained. Any chance y'all remember the title? Thx
