August 12, 2019: a date that will live in minor infamy, a day in which Radio War Nerd invaded Brooklyn with nuthin but a bag full of laptops, some hastily typed up notes, and enough anxiety to paralyze an army. I hope one day you are popular enough to do a tour. I'm too poor to leave the mid-west.

I'm surprised that Mark Ames is giving the Hong Kong protesters high marks. I've never seen a more pathetic thing in my life. Dressing up as Capt America and waving US flags ? Really ? They have a legit issue. They are protesting the bailed out Baby Boomer oligarchy that runs the city. But the way they are going about it is nothing short of pathetic and stupid. Mainland China and the US has nothing to do with this. Yet the HK protesters are managing to put a shine on Trumps America of all things.

Not much to suggest at this stage that the pro-US element is anything other than a tiny fraction of absolutely massive protests which have involved a third of the entire population. Some pretty dismal "tankie" takes out there imo.
